*EDIT: Annoyingly it appears Kogan has updated their site and are no longer offering free shipping for this item.

I haven't seen any reviews for this, but it seems like a reasonable deal if you want a cheap tv. You have to pre-order and it apparently ships February 10th.

    ships in feb? deal breaker…

better wait til feb.. prices will go down at other stores..

  • Looks like they tried to match the Palsonic Harvey Norman Deal…

    • Harvey Norman/Palsonic is not full HD. This one is.

    • The HN tv is very ordinary quality and picturewise - this ones is likely to be better..

This was posted about a month ago (but without the free shipping). Its a pretty good deal for a FullHD 32" tv, depending on whether or not you're willing to put up with Kogan quality (not sure if its any good).

Think of it this way, even with the pre-order wait, you'll still get it faster than if you bought it from COTD! :p

    • Lmao

I am always wary of Kogan stuff now, a few months back I bought a 32 inch full hd led tv which arrived with 1 dead pixel and 1 stuck pixel that couldn't be unstuck so I returned it an purchased a slightly older model albeit with a better panel. But that arrived with a dead pixel and a whole host of other problems too so after returning that 1 as well I chipped in an extra $50 and bought a 2nd hand 32 inch Samsung LED which shits on the kogan in quality and hasn't missed a beat unlike the 2 brand new kogans.

Just to clarify I am talking like $370-400 for the TVs I bought so maybe for $199 this 1 isn't too bad compared to similarly priced models.

I'm happy with the HD box that I got for $9 including delivery.

  • I only have one question - does the usb port play mkvs….

If it was an LED, instead of an LCD, I'd be all over this.

  • How would the warranty work in this situation?

Being in Perth, I would have to ship it back over East or is there a repair center I could drop it off in Perth?

I'm actually thinking of buying this as a computer monitor and occasionally be used as a TV.

I'd recommend buying a computer monitor. I've hooked my laptop up to my 32" Samsung fullHD tv, and while it's acceptable for doing things like setting up for Skype, or setting up to watch a movie, it would be awful for everyday use. The problem is that the pixels are too big for computer application. Even though the screen is 32", the resolution is 1920 x 1080 so you really can't use all that big screen real estate effectively.

Unless you plan to put it on a wall and use it in meetings, it would not be a good decision.

You can pick up a good dedicated LCD/LED monitor for this price, I would guess in the region of 22-24", which will have a much higher screen resolution, and therefore a more crisp picture, and much more usable screen space (instead of just being big). You can then purchase a crappy TV tuner USB thing for the occasional tv watching.

    • Since the item is quite large, I think they arrange people to come pick it up from you.

  • They can actually make good monitiors, I am using a DSE 32" Full HD as my only monitor.
You need to reduce shapening to close to zero and drop contrast way down and then play with the other settings, take ages to get right but when it is they work great.
    I changed from a high res 24" monitor. :)

  • Please nobody buy Kogan brand TVs there how can i say it in simple terms "crap".

    • Hi extract - what are you basing this advice on?

  • I'm seriously thinking of buying one of these. I can't find anything that comes within about $100 of this.

I found some reviews of Kogan TVs here: http://www.kogan.com.au/review/ - seems to be decent quality for the money you pay.

    • yeah, you can't expect 32 inch tv with pvr for less than $100. and for some people u can make this as your monitor, cheaper than if u buy 32" lcd monitor.

  • got my 37" LCD tv from dicksmith last week for $240 :D

    • full hd as well?

      • Very unlikely.

  • tried to order but still wants to charge delivery - is there a code that needs to be input re delivery?

    • It appears they have updated their site and are no longer offering free shipping.

  • I've got the same question as gavster - How do you get 'free shipping'?

    • It looks like they're no longer offering it.

  • dammit!

  • any discount codes?

  • It seems this deal has now sold out.

  • Damn was really tempted to buy one of these..

    Snooze you lose, I suppose!

  • SOLD OUT!

  • don't worry, kogan will do it again
