    Hello Richard,
    1, Choose the correct length you need. 6ft, 10ft would be OK.
    If you choose the too long DisplayPort cable, that would not be good for the signal transmission.
    2, Had better choose the metal shell DisplayPort cable. If the cable has braided housing, that would be great.
    3, If the DisplayPort cable can get VESA certification, that would be great.
    If not, you can get the more competitive price cable, such as CableCreation's DisplayPort cable.

    There are similar USB-C adapters that offer 4k60hz, just not this one.

    So yes, the featured adapter does support 4K but at a refresh rate that is probably fine for video playback but not well suited for desktop use.

    For your MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro, you have two Thunderbolt 3 ports. You can just feel free to use another Thunderbolt 3 port to charge your laptop.

          @Loganfence: Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+, and iPad Pro 11 (2018).

          But you don't have a type C port or passthrough charging on it, so it's not useful.

          Do you have a model that does includes the C port?

    This one still only supports 4k30hz as well, it also requires DP ALT mode which might not be supported by some devices.
    The trouble is that USB-C is awesome, but a mixed bag when it comes to compatibility.
