        Was a good one too!

    • yeah pretty thick, too thick for my liking. One of the big reasons why I love the SGS2 is the large screen but slim form for the pocket.
With this I wouldn't fit my phone and wallet in the same pocket, so I'm happy to continue charging my phone every couple of days. Its not hard to plug it in on the bench and the phone charges reasonably quickly anyway. :)

sure it's not gonna make my sgs2 explode? I think i'd rather stick to samsung original for now

EDIT: just realised it's a BIG FAT battery with different cover required…ewwww ugly…i'll pass for sure now

I'd be extremely wary of replacement batteries on websites like Meritline, Dealextreme yadas! Try Anker batteries instead which go for $20 for 2 batteries and a travel charger.

  • Meh, $6 on ebay for the battery, few cents more and you can even get the white back. Also for $2.49, you can get 10 matte anti glare and anti fingerprint screen protectors. BTW these batteries are trash. They last lesser than the original and the phone looks uggglyyyy…

I seriously doubt this will even last as long as the original battery…

Recent experience with my Digital still camera. Bought 2 x 1400mAh batteries (from a respectable vendor) and they are noticeably weaker than the original 920mAh battery. I'm not a sgs2 owner but my gut feeling is to agree with you.

If it sounds to good to be true…..

  • Any good spare batteries for the Galaxy S2 in the market guys? Im looking for one so bad. Thanks a million for any suggestions. My housemate recommended me to buy a Scud one but couldnt find any Scud for the S2.

Lots of forums suggest Mugen Power, seems like they are the only 3rd party company that accurately rates their batteries.

If not, just go buy official batteries, nothing under the price of the originals will perform as good… no matter how much the stated milliamp/hour is

    • the 2000mah battery is awesome, have been using one for a couple of months now and can say it is a noticeable improvement over the stock.

    This one is a genuine 2000mah from Samsung for $40 - https://samsung.mobilefulfilment.com.au/Products/ViewProduct…

  • Just buy a generic USB portable battery and plug the phone in only when you need it. That way, your phone looks and functions the same, and you don't look like you are speaking into a house brick all of the time.

Or (in the case of phones with easily accessable batteries) buy a spare OEM battery and carry that around. I prefer the USB type, because they can be used in other devices like MP3 players, GPS, etc. Main diadvantage of teh USB is that you need to carry a cable, unless you find one with inbuilt cable management.

  • I bought a gold battery for $10 on ebay. 2450mah. Works a treat and is slim. I carry the original around with me as a spare. Very good battery improvement especially with a battery saving app.

    • can you share a link please?

  • You can pick up the official Samsung 2000mAh battery from JB Hifi or Telstra stores for $40. Extra 20-30% battery life and only 1mm thicker. Chances are these chinese batteries will not even give you any more battery life than standard. Check whirlpool and xda for people's experiences.

  • Ended up buying juice defender ultimate from the app store. very noticable increase in batt life and according to the app, almost 2.4x longer now. depends on how you set it up, ymmv. Was considering the mugen extended battery but now happy with the batt life and i get to keep my sgs2 nice and slim in my case mate pop! (I didn't want to lose the integrated stand!)

  • I got the official Samsung 2000mAh battery from JB Hifi. Does make the phone a little thicker, but worth it for the extra usage in my opinion. Retails for $40. Wasn't hard to get them to knock off $5 during the Boxing day sales.

  • GREAT!!!!

    just recieved my battery.

    loving it :D

its a nice size, not to big. the case just extends out abit. now waiting for it to fully charge and see how long it will last under stress. hope it lasts double the normal battery's time, which is around 4hrs on gaming and downloading on wifi.

the case is nice as well. matches the phone's plastic.

so worth it, all up for $8.
