With free shipping too, mind you. Coupled with Cash Rewards 5% offer on eBay gift cards, it came to a princely sum of $568.48!

      • Now that's a true ozbargainer.

  • +1

Dang it. Just bought it from Amazon for $660 yesterday!

      Cancel?

      • shipped today for tomorrow by 8pm delivery (apparently)

        • +1

          Return?

          • +4

@superforever: I think I’ll just whinge about it and use it when it arrives by 8pm tomorrow.

@Elpres: If you go onto Amazon, say you wish to return it, you can actually click that you found it cheaper elsewhere. You link them to the deal, (maybe attach a screenshot bc it’s a 24hr sale?) and they might price match it. :) hopefully this saves you some cash!

              • @Wakkers: So it's just taken me to a return postage cost thing for $7, how far do I go? All the way?

                • +2

@Elpres: You'd probably have to message them.
The return system you're talking about is 100% automated.

@cheesecactus: If I can get $40 back, laughing!

                    • @Elpres: Online chat with them, they might able to give you amazon credit straight away.

                      • @Richardc: Found them quite helpful when I call them. I got store credit last time. No question asked. 3rd party seller might be different story. But worth a try.

                • +1

@Elpres: Sorry mate, only just saw this! How’d you go? I’d say try call them or something if it’s not already too late!! :)

    • Why? It's was $598 a couple days ago and is cheaper at other places e.g. Newegg

      • Didn't have the money, wasn't cheaper yesterday when I did.

      • Not cheaper on newegg now? $667

        https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/amd-ryzen-7-5800x/p/N82E16819113665?Description=5800x&cm_re=5800x--19-113-665--Product&quicklink=true

        • There was a $20 coupon, dunno if it still works

  • I am new to the new AMD, are they with gaming graphic build in?

    • +2

No, need to look for the G versions, the X and non-X don't have built in GPUs.

    • 3400G is the current flagship Apu, I think performance around Rx550?
Zen 3 based Apu's haven't arrived for consumer yet

Currently using it and man it's good

  • +3

Within 2 weeks there was multiple 5800x deals for around $50 less than I paid at Newegg. Oh well first world problems .

  • Just want 5900x :(

    • +1

Yeah, same here, I think a shipment is arriving next week. So you can probably see more retailers selling them, probably with an extremely marked up price though.

      • +3

Same here but I'm sick of waiting and no way am I paying $850 to 900 for the 5900x being an ozbargainer. Paying full price goes against ozbargain religion rules. Lol

        • +2

I paid $1060 for mine in December from Amazon. No regrets

          • +2

@Julzx: I paid $859 from CentreCom last November. No regrets either!

            • +1

@kabammi: paid $1250 for 5950x on launch night, no rugrats

  • Looks like stock is picking up and prices are nudging closer to rrp. At least CPU upgrades will be possible this year…

    • But what is happening to GPU stock?

      • +1

        Please… No trolling…

We're all butthurt from this GPU stock shananigan, with no end in sight…

    • This is already $80 below rrp.

  • Mine arrived earlier today from the eBay deal earlier this week. Runs great!

    This or 5600x?

    • Depends on your budget, remember, this doesn't come with a CPU Cooler unlike the 5600x. If you are just gaming then a 5600x should be more then enough.

      • Correct, but with eventual port of newer console games, an 8 core CPU might be more useful considering most newer consoles are 8 Cores and PC ports will be even more heavier with more eye candy.

  • i guess the TDP of this doesn't seem so bad after seeing rocket lake's, huh?

  • $621.30 delivered to brisbane. Pretty good price and Australian warranty.

  • Is this or Pentium better?

  • Stay calm, stay calm. AM5 coming. AM5 with super duper whole new gen socket, DDR5 and PCIE 100x. I can wait…….ahhhhh shite, just bought the 5800X.

    • +1

Enjoy, it's an absolute beast 👌

Edit: am5/ddr5 is going to be VERY expensive for a long time after release so you'd probably be waiting even longer. Better off enjoying the now.

      • Yeah DDR5 is going to be crazy expensive. Same with am5 socket everything.

    • +1

By the time its affordable - the 5950x will be $150 and unwanted.

  • Picked up a 3700x from this deal.
    very sharp local price.

  • +1

All of a sudden we see stock coming out from all over the place for the price they ought to be in the first place and this is happening just before Intel releases their 11th Gen into the market. What are the odds?

    • Oh yeah good point.

  • +1

Price gone up. its $620.10 after 10% discount

    • Yeah too expensive now for ozbargainers. Lol

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up, updated the title.
