    • It could be.

When using this monitor with my pc, I used the supplied hdmi cable and only got 29hz.

Swapped to a display port cable and now I'm getting 60hz.weird.

Thx for heads up. Me too, I thought my HDMI port maybe too old (laptop around 7 y/o). I'll try a newer cable

  • Tossing up between this and the P2721Q for work use. I have a standing desk that’s not very deep and viewing distance will be ~40cm. Is that too close for this 32” to be comfortable to use?

    • +1

I sit around 50-60cm away from mine (depending how I’m leaning). 40cm is probably a bit close for me personally (although there around probably some around who use it at this distance).

If you put the monitor on an arm (i have mine on a North Bayou H80), then you can probably get 10-20cm more distance, which would probably be about right. Only if you have a suitable desk though - if you have a built in or something, then you might be stuffed!

Other alternative is to install a pull out keyboard tray - this will give you the extra distance you need for a more comfortable viewing distance.

If you can’t do either of those things, then maybe consider the 27” instead. Maybe you can get away with using no scaling at that viewing distance? Otherwise, if you have to use scaling, that’s one reason the 32” is better (can use it without scaling).

      • Cheers - very helpful!

  • Is this vesa-compatible?

    • +1

Yep! Have mine on a North Bayou H80. :)

      • Nice! 100x100?

        • +1

          Yes, it’s 100x100.

  • Damn that's cheap! I was happy when I got mine for $489 & then a price-drop refund down to $450ish.

    • Tempted to get 2nd one using my $55 voucher…

    I'm looking at replacing 2 x 24" monitors (1920 X 1200) with one of these. (90% Productivity, 10% Gaming).
Just wondering how good is Dell with getting your money back if you are not satisfied with the monitor.

    • You have 15 days

      • So this is no-questions-asked, change of mind, etc.? But you fork out for postage.
edit: I just read it here https://www.dell.com/learn/au/en/aucorp1/policies-returns
So up to 15% restocking fee if no defects.

        • Yep, I'm worried that my GT1030 might struggle running it and the poor viewing angle will hamper my productivity due to the small desk that i"m using.

          • @gtech: Missed this comment, but anyway I bought one and not sure if there's an issue with viewing angle. I wasn't impressed with colours/blacks but then I changed cable (and input) to DP and blacks are now black, and colours pop. Doubt that I'll be returning it. It's also not as gigantic as I had feared, the curve helps there, and it's only a gentle curve. Not sure if this can be beaten for the price. Colours can't beat IPS, but then the price is (was) right. I have a 2070 super.
