  • Judging by the review photos, it's probably only suited to kittens and small adult cats

    • Yeah I am finding most budget cat trees are way too small for the average adult house cat. The little beds, perches and hidey holes are too small. I think I'll have to cough up extra for a decent size one.

      • Same. Decent sized ones are just so expensive though that I can't really justify the cost. Especially can cats and kittens can scratch through the coverings and sisal rope so quickly.

    • i have a very similar one in a different colour and the hammock, offset bed, underside tube and cubby hole are all too small for my big boy. Hes 5 kg and can easily reach the offset bed when he stands up on his hind legs. We keep some toys in it and he likes to punch them out from underneath. The top platform might look small and a bit wobbly but that's where he spends the most time on the tree. I dont think he has ever used any of the other bits apart from digging out the toys we stashed in them.
We have a netted area on the upstairs balcony and the tree isnt too hard to move in and out. Scratch poles are the best thing about it and they've held up pretty well after a year of use.

    • I find my cats like the smallest possible spaces, bordering on too small for them.

    • looked at the picture and realised that this is one I bought when our cats were kittens.

Your right It has to be up against a wall otherwise the 2 adult cats tip it over (ragdoll and ragdoll x maine coon)

Otherwise still going strong though (cats are now 3) though the top pole bent and had to be removed.

  • Very average price. Can easily be found for similar price on eBay

    • Hi Prince, the best price we found was $84.62. Please share a link if it is cheaper elsewhere. :)

    • I have one of these (iPet brand) bought off ebay for $89 with a $10 off deal (usual price $99) but it was 203cm high, which my cat loves. I can easily say it would last a long time as it is sturdy enough for my Ragdoll (8 months old). I wanted to go for the tallest one available.
PS: fair price in my opinion for the quality you get for a 1.4m one, but not a huge bargain as the RRP suggests.

  • Do cats actually use these? I live in an apartment and my cat use to be outdoors alot now its solely an indoor cat, I just don't see her jumping up or sleeping on this, if someone has this for their indoor cat I would love to know if your cat loves this or it just takes up space. Thanks in advance
Ps she has a real good cat scratch which she loves and uses a couple times a day, so this would be more for playing and sleeping

    • Really depends on the cat and if they decide they like that particular one or even if they like where it's located. Yours may or may not love it.

    • +1

We just have one from kmart. Its similar to this https://www.kmart.com.au/product/cat-tower-deluxe/3059803 but a bit bigger, but i think it was about the same price.
If you google image kmart cat tower, its the one with the hole in the second top level.

First thing they do in the morning is go for a scratch on it, then one of them usually sleeps on the top board
they dont sleep in the box or anything as its too small.

We have to replace ours about every year or so as the rope gets destroyed after a while, as you can only flip the poles so many times.

    • I find they like to sit higher than everyone, where possible. So if you get a tall enough tower, then definitely.
