LG WT-H555TH Washing Machine Pulsator Lid Comes Undone during Cycle?

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help with this:
I have an LG WT-H555TH, When running a cycle this part:

Which is attached by this screw:

comes undone, and just floats to the top, I have tried undoing and redoing the screw but can't see why it would be coming undone?

Add some loctite to the screw thread

OP Modify title to say comes undone, not comes under

  • Are you using the correct diameter screw OP?

According to the website they come in 2 sizes 6mm and 8mm.

A 6mm screw will quickly come loose in a 8mm thread.

If you are using the correct size check that the anti-vibration locking washer is fitted on each screw.

    • Yeah its the screw that came with the machine

Check that the threads aren't stripped in the Pulsator Assembly or on the screws themselves.

    • Thanks looks like that is the issue

The splines in the pulsator are stripped https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eKyo3Yvw3M You probably need a new one - what you posted in the first link.
