Built in GPS version of amazfit's bip u watch with amazon alexa functionality which in my experience works well in controlling smart devices.

The built in GPS locks in quick and is quite accurate from experience.

The zepp app is quite detailed and can be integrated with other fitness service apps such as Google fit and STRAVA. I do experience occasional app hang ups with my s10 while syncing the watch which I find restarting the phone fixes the connection.

  • I have the previous Amazfit Bip and love the awesome battery life (30 odd days at least). Whats the life on the newer models?

EDIT: Boo it doesnt have always on display. No buy for me!

    • Yes I have to agree with you. I loved my Amazfit Bip but I have a newer Verge lite without an always-on display and so annoying.

    • You'd have to go for the amazfit gts 2 mini for AOD but at the cost of battery life. I bought it for my wife and it lasts approx 3-4 days with the AOD turned on. It also has a better build quality than the bip u and does feel more premium as per the price tag.

Ill stick with my original BIP which has always on display and 30 days battery life :)

        • The main selling features for me this case is the alexa smart control, spo2 measuring and gps. I agree that an AOD would've made this better value and perhaps a decent compromise from previous long enduring battery models. Charging every couple of days for an AOD is better than 1 1/2 days from wear os watches.

@jerdp: spo2 seems unreliable on this mode according those youtube reviews.

            • @ddhytz: Agreed for reference only and not for medical purpose but I appreciate the novelty of it.Optimistic of the company releasing firmware updates that may improve the accuracy and perhaps take it off the novelty factor but for the price it's hard to disregard the other value offering of this watch.

This watch is just another option that would appeal to a particular niche amongst the sea of fitness trackers out there depending on what features you want to invest on with your budget.

      • Hi, I bought a GTR 2, when wearing in bed how do you stop the face lighting up like a Christmas tree anytime you move?
I've gone through the manual and can't find a setting for that.

I'm not sure if it's the same with the GTR 2 but with my bip u pro there is a setting called "lit upon notifications" accompanied by a symbol of a wrist wearing the watch. When I disable this feature it stops the watch display from turning on automatically whenever you move or flick your wrist.

Same here. Am looking at the GTS 2/2e and GTR 2/2e which have AoD and good life. However still struggling to justify the >$170 price when the only extra feature appears to be blood oxygen measurement…
