Depends, are they in one piece?

Sorry if this comment is too dark for some, just a joke.

Depends how hungry the pigs are.

      • let's say …..what are your answers for 2 options? again…for a friend

Cheap - even cheaper with 10% off SCA giftcards currently through Suncorp!

    I don't need it… buuuut. Beer fridge?

Edit: Brass Monkey Fridges at RTM have a few sales on end of life stock with 3 year warranty for comparable price depending on your area. More features but potentially worse insulation?

    DON’T BUY THIS FRIDGE

Don’t get me wrong, Evakool make (and rebrand) EXCELLENT fridges… this is not one of them. It is a single zone fridge but there is a divider between the main compartment with the cooling element and a smaller compartment (referred to as the dairy compartment by other fridge manufacturer). In theory cold air is supposed to flow through tiny vents at the very top of the divider and cool the secondary compartment. In practice the dairy compartment remained 15 to 20 degrees above the main compartment even when running on mains for four days straight without opening the lid at all during this time. So what you actually have is a 35L fridge (that works well mind you) and a ~15L storage compartment. Or mine was just defective. Either way I returned it and went to the opposite end of the spectrum and bought a national luna.

Also this fridge only has a 1 year warranty.

    • SCA website says 2 year warranty.

    • National Luna would be about 10x more expensive…

Though I'd definitely have one if I could afford it

I picked up one of these middle of last year (Repco deal for $399 posted on OzBargain).

I thought it was a good bargain then, but $369 has got to be the cheapest its ever been?

Good fridge.I disagree with macadamia's consensus above though. I keep cheese and butter in the smaller compartment, and everything else (meat, milk etc) in the larger compartment… works perfect. The second compartment is a cooler section… if it got any colder the butter and cheese would get too hard. I guess it depends on what you set the fridge temp at, and your placement of the fridge. If its kept somewhere really hot and with no air circulation, that little little section is going to struggle to keep cool because its only cool intake is via the very top of the fridge.

For under $400 this is a great little (big!) camping fridge.

Excellent price !!! The only two draw backs is size and fixed compartments.

As tellhimhesdreaming pointed out Brass Monkey Fridges have the advantage of having dual non fixed cooling compartments (at that size) which can be run together or independently at different temperatures.

IMHO the optimum size is 60L its big enough to keep water, drinks and food all cold.

      what 5L among bargains?

  • 50% off the fridge cover direct from EvaKool right now too !!

    • I have never had a portable fridge (until today). Whats a cover necessary for?

      • +1

It helps to keep it cool and protects the fridge from dirt/wear etc. They usually have pockets as well which are handy to store the cables and other things.

  • I bought this fridge online with e-giftcards. In what form of payment would i be refunded if i were to return it?
