      $44 is not really expensive for a 10Gbps, 5A rated USB-C cable. Cheap USB-C cables are usually only rated for the bandwidth or the current, not both (at least not truthfully). The last similarly rated cable I bought was $80.

          I use my USB-C cables to connect laptops to hubs / monitors running 1440P at >60Hz, along with other USB peripherals, while also charging the laptop. It's not that unique a use case.

        who use 10Gbps stuff for home? the way I read kevlar stuff is similar to the gold tip hdmi, ultra quality cable marketing fluff
        that cost $150 but a $10 hdmi would do the same job and it Cygnett it not known for quality doesn't matter what they market them as

          External ssd would be one example I guess. Especially if u have a external nvme drive (mine are just msata externals tho)

            @DanielP2: I got external SSD and I just use standard cable and believe me it so fast and if it takes an extra 10 or 15 seconds more it makes bugger all differences

              @Hearthstone: Hehe fair enough, well that's about the only situation I could think of that would use the bandwidth. Maybe a monitor or external gpu?

                @DanielP2: You realise how much bandwidth a video signal requires, right? You need high bandwidth support once you're dealing with 1440P / 4K. 10 Gbps isn't even sufficient for 4K @ 30 Hz.

                Taking a step back, there's certainly no reason to pay $44 for a charging cable! But $44 is more than reasonable for a USB-C monitor + power delivery cable, and this sale price is a bargain.

                  @gleamnite: im definately not disputing the price being a bargain. I was replying to the above post questioning why ppl would need a 10Gbps+ cable for home use. I am all for good quality cables, i have had plenty of issues with cheap cables in the past. Especially longer HDMI cables supposedly rated at 18Gbps but constantly dropping sync when running at 4k/60hz 4:4:4

                    @DanielP2: To be honest, I hit reply on the wrong post (it was meant for @Hearthstone)! When I first bought USB-C compatible monitors with Power Delivery, I hadn't realised how difficult it would be to buy compatible cables… nor that I couldn't get a 2M cable that was up to spec! Yes, I've had issues with long HDMI cables before too.

    I have no view on this particular cable, except to say that I now only buy them with right angle connectors. Too many cables broken because someone/something has pushed up against the connector and broke it. For my use cases right angle connectors greatly reduce that happening.

    Thanks OP my supercharge cable for my huawei P30 was damaged last 'huewei' genuine cable I bought was obviously a fake off ebay didnt even work in my P30 (seems too loose only the genuine cables fit the charging port properly?)
