  • Can you use this key in Australia? I thought the game was only being launched in Australia in March?

    • Hi Wampus, the CD key is GLOBAL. You can login to the game and play in ANY server in the game.

Yes the PHYSICAL box of games will be release in Australia sometime in MARCH but if you want to play this game now you can buy digital CD key and play it in the US/EU server.

Rumors said Bioware will allowed people transfer their account from US/EU to Oceania server when Oceania server release in March. I cannot confirm this tho.

So in conclusion, yes there is NO REGION LOCK for the game and you can use this CD key to play in Australia now without any problem! Sold tons of CD KEY to Australians without any issue being report.

      • Thanks rep

        • +1

Yes, you can play in Australia. No, Bioware has not as far as I am aware indicated that there will be free or paid server transfers once Oceania servers go live.

By the way, the advertising of this as an "Australian" deal is disingenuous. Since the game has not been release in Australia, the keys are not local supply. Price comparison only with Australian companies is therefore meaningless, as iTraveller is buying international keys on the international market.

  • Deluxe exition is $57.93 at cdkeys.com.au https://cdkeys.com.au/products/Star-Wars%3A-The-Old-Republic…

    • The products is NOT in-stock. And i doubt they will get in more stock, maybe they just lower they price to attact more people to browse their website.

I can put $30 bucks too without letting people add to cart and buy :)

      • Damn just went out of stock. Bought it at 7pm lol

        • It's complicated tho they have one listed as Star Wars:The Old Republic for $48.28 and another one listed as Star Wars:The Old Republic(INSTANTLY) for $62.76

      • +1

In that case, your product is not in stock too. So what's the difference?

You're here asking people to buy this , with a promise of 10-11th of Jan.

        • +1

Said clearly it will be in stock in 10th or 11st and you will definitely get the CD Key.

While they don't even let you order it?

Edited: It is up to you if you want to order it now or order it on the 10 or 11 when they are in stock but that i cannot guarantee the stock level. So i am posting this deal just for people who want to pre-order it. No offence.

So if you don't like my deal just pass it, if cdkey.com.au is in stock i am happy to see if i can match the price :)

  • +2

This is where I bought my key.. it's in stock too for 37 pounds

    http://www.mmoga.co.uk/Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic/SWTOR-Key-…

    • Not Australian seller, sorry cannot match it :(

  • I take it stock of keys has run out. The Coupon Code no longer works

    • +1

Sorry, please try that again now. It should work now. Forget the add the date of the coupon just now. Already fixed

      Thanks for reporting

      • Is there alot left, i want to buy one but cant until i get home

        • Yes we still taking order for now!

      • Worked that time. Thanks

Re: that mmoga.co.uk site mentioned above, they maybe 6 or so dollars cheaper, but they are a Gold seller site… for that's worth

        • and gold selling is illegal so i think it is pretty dangerous to buy from gold seller, no offence tho. Just my 2 cents :)

        • I think the moral obligation fixes that!

  • +1

Wow I bought this for $30 a month ago. I don't understand, why are key sites selling this game for more than the retail price in the US? Is stock hard to get?

    • No idea mate, supplier giving us a high price to be honest. Probably yea, stock is hard to get.

    • Its $60 on the shelf in the US.

      • Free shipping to AU? That's a decent price. Wish i live in the US :) lol

        • +1

Not free shipping, just normal cost. Not trying to discredit you deal. I think the deal is fantastic for Aus pricing. Its just the oz tax that annoys me. Everything is cheaper overseas but I guess until ppl stop paying the store prices the distributors will keep it that way.

        • @Expon, it's great for Aus pricing, but it's not Australian stock. They are just importing from OS distributors and adding their own cut. It's obvious in this case because this game hasn't even had an Australian release yet.

        • So EBgames is selling it for $78(imported too).

      • its alright man! I am just new and trying to give my store's deal to Australian. :) If people like it they will buy, if people don't then just pass. I am really really happy with that, not forcing people to rate this as a good deal but i tried my best since our store is in Australia.

Its 59.99 at the official site for the digital copy? I assume thats the RRP - how is your price $10 above that?

    http://buy.swtor.com/us/

    • +2

U try and buy it there and see what happens

      • lol agreed with that haha.

        P.S @camel_racer that's the RRP in US i believe.

        • It cant be bought from Aus IP through that site, ie origin download.

      • -1

Why's that? Wouldnt work - even with a proxy to just get the client?

        • Try it let us know what happens.

        • i have a few AU customer came in store to pick up the CD KEY said that to me even they tried proxy or whatever they still cannot buy it from Origin. Origin seems to have a better system to avoid AU or other RED ZONE's people buy from them.

        • +1

Ah really? I have heard that it worked fine with a proxy work-around.

@Expon: I will let you know how I go when I get around to it.

        • was working few weeks ago but not anymore.

Yea please keep us posted. Thanks

  • =/ it will be going around 20 in a month, be less then 10 when guild wars 2 comes out

  • So much rage over this game. Media has got into it: http://tinyurl.com/7b6wwww

  • +2

Cheaper on Zavvi for the physical copy for those who are willing to wait a week or so, or just don't want to download the game client.

    http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/pc/star-wars-the-old-re…

Use the code 'best2011' to get it down to 31.37GBP which is about $48.

    • +2

      Month or so*

      • I bought two games from them in the last month, one took 7 days and the other took 8. I'm sure other people have had orders that have been slower, but that sort of time over christmas and new years is pretty decent

    • -3

if you dont mind, have a look on the review.

      http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews168425.html

      • Yeah, some people have had bad experiences, as with almost any service. The reality would be that for every person that writes a bad review, there would be an abundance of people who have no issues at all.

I still don't think a few bad reviews justifies spending an extra $14 to have a digital copy of a game instead of a physical copy, unless you wanted to pay extra for the benefit of not waiting.

In fact, it's even been shown that it's cheaper elsewhere for an identical product anyway, so this isn't really a bargain.

        http://www.mmoga.co.uk/Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic/SWTOR-Key-…

  • You can buy the imported copy from ebgames if you dont want to wait.

  • Personally, I got mine from http://www.gamekeysbuy.com/ (got there from the whirlpool wiki originally, http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/swtor but its since been removed)

They seem to go in and out of stock fairly rapidly - like within hours they'll go from 20 keys to sold out, and back up again.

It ended up being quite cheap though, the exact value coming off my credit card was $47.37 and that was for the deluxe edition. Also, their 60 day codes are only $23 (us dollars). Personally, im not sure its a great deal solely based on prior experience.

    • Nice - great price for the game cards!!

  • Good to see this game is getting some nice Promos :)

I got me one from Origin some time ago using a proxy… The issue is with the local CC's rejecting the order due to address failure. Used a prepaid US card and worked fine :)

    Enjoy the game all :D

Make sure you keep an eye on the WP Wiki for Aussie proffered servers etc :) http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/swtor

    • Hey mate…where did you buy the US prepaid visa from?

      • -2

Ask your mate in the US to purchase one for ya or google it lol.

      • Travelex, Combank (most banks do them) hell even the woolies one might work
