Any good for a teething puppy that loves to chew and tug at toys? or are these more for cuddling?

I got a couple of these from the last deal and they didn't survive even a day of chewing and tugging. I would recommend Kong branded ones for young puppies as they are indestructible. I bought this one and it is still going strong.

Agreed, bought these for my 5 month old puppy with the last sale and would recommend something else for dogs who are chewers, not cuddlers. The daschund toy has lost its ears, I've had to do neck surgery on the turtle, and stitching on the sheep's ears have unravelled.

That said, the toys are very cute and my dog loves them, but I do wish they were more durable.

      • Yeah I have been looking at the Kong toy, might have to get this.

I bought a few other Kong toys like the Wubba which he ripped straight through in a week, so probably need the knot bear for a bit more durability.

      • I'd recommend Bullymake as well if your dog is a tough chewer like mine. They ship a box of 4 at once, and you can get a fairly good price if you use a code. I used a facebook promo code and paid approx $40 for the box.

I'd recommend the nylon toy type. We got 2 rubber and two nylon. The rubber lasted well (a week or two) but the nylon ones are still going strong after a month.

Just keep in mind that when you buy a box, you're signing up for a monthly subscription, so have to go on live chat to cancel after it's shipped.

      • I concur. Our fairly gentle Golden Retriever put holes in these real quick

    • Hello Fergy1987, we don't market these toys as durable or tough, but feedback is still quite strong. The 'Watch Dog' is one with slightly stronger feedback even with larger dogs, see here. In terms of your puppy, it's hard to say. There has been rare instances where the puppy tore it apart in a short timeframe, but it really does depend on your breed and behaviours. Thanks!
