Think they perhaps sneakily adjusted the Venti banner like they did to the staff of Homa banner. Doesn't seem to be the same issues with the Elegy Bow banner though. People aren't pulling 10 skywards to one Elegy. Well hasn't been any real complaints popping up. I'm tipping that with the Tartaglia/Rosaria banner, people going to end up with C6 Tartaglia before they even get one Rosaria lol

Yes! I usually redeem it on the official website out of convenience. Codes are one time redemption per person, I'm not sure about much more than that.

Another one.. I'm so close to Adv Lev 10 now. Just a few hundred xp to go.
Only started playing it a couple of days ago. I'm bummed I didn't start earlier since I missed out on a lot of free stuff. My roster is just 3 free characters + Noelle.
The devs really mastered the art of getting you addicted by giving you stuff to do always. And the game is ultra polished. It looks so gorgeous.
Which free characters should I spend EXP books on? I got traveller and Amber to 20, but was told to save up EXP books because they'll be scarce later and just level up two characters. Then I heard Amber sucks. So I have everyone else at lv 1. Who should I level up? I'm not counting on unlocking through wishing. The odds suck.
Even without spending you'll end up with a pretty plentiful roster, you just wont be able to have every and all characters at your disposal. Of the initial free characters the ones that are vaguely worth investment to my knowledge are kaeya, traveller (less so) and I cant remember is xiangling is free or not - she was when I started a little while ago. If she's free then consider using her as a main carry until you get a hard carry 5 star - she's meant to be solid with a crescent pike.
Both Kaeya and Xiangling can be and are often used in end-game type stuff so you probably wont regret leveling them.
Don't feel bad about missing out - that's the psychology they use to encourage spending. See your free wishes as an opportunity instead and try to be happy/creative with whatever you get. Your roster will eventually fill out a bit.
Don't bother with Amber unless you really really like her playstyle.
Edit: Also make sure you consider re-rolling if it appeals to you - for me personally it was the best thing I did in the game, and set me up to enjoy the rest of the story well.

How long did you spend until you finally got it?
Some guide I read said you get an email for the 3M player milestone that gives you 10 wishes + 1600 primogems. I got the 10 wishes but not the 1600 primos. Is every new account meant to get that?
I cant say whats normal now - certainly rerolling was much more worthwhile earlier in the game's history - but usually either AR 5 or AR 7 is the sweet spot between time required and number of wishes. The rewards at various levels have changed over the patches, so dont trust what the internet tells you you should get at 5 or 7.
When I did it I got to AR 5 I think and had 18 or so wishes if I salvaged all of the points gathered (starglitter/stardust) from wishing as well as using the codes that were eligible for low AR players.
I spent a few hours playing on one monitor mindlessly whilst watching netflix on the other. I planned to stop as soon as I got a single 5 star (whatever it was), but you could save yourself some time by deciding to stop if any of a few strong 4 star characters appeared (Bennett, Razor, Fischl, Ningguang, maybe sucrose/xingqiu). I think I must have made about 20 or so accounts before I got one (actually got 3!), and it was particularly lucky with the units I got so was chuffed with the outcome. A 5-star unit is about 0.6% chance for every wish, so keep that statistic in mind if you do it.

Protip: unlock the way points so you can teleport to them rather than running around. Also, check the mini map whenever you pick up a new quest. Cos quite often, the quest target is a bit away from you and is much faster to teleport to the nearest way point/domain portal.

Amber is good to help clear various content that requires an archer/pyro unit. But apart from that, unless you like first-person shooter style gameplay. She's pretty much out. So I would recommend keeping her at L20.

I spend a lot of time exploring. If I see fruits or ore on the ground, I'll go pick it up, and inevitably there will be more somewhere nearby and you get led on a trail of collecting resources. I spend time finding chests and other secrets also. And I try to figure out how to unlock some secret. Basically, I take my time to smell the roses. I didn't rush through the critical path.

Wait, what? By initial bunch of summons, do you mean the 10 free wishes you get from an email? How do you get a 5 star from that, unless you're re-rolling?
To re-roll you need to create a new account unless you can delete your existing one.
He's wrong, you are guaranteed Noelle, not a 5-star. And dont stress about taking your time. Its a game - enjoy it how you like. I took my time too.
@sjtem3: Have clarified it. Ha. Funnily enough, I did get a 5-star in the initial beginners summon for both my America and Asia accounts.

Haha. That's why it's taking you a while to get to AR10. Truth be told. You're better off getting to higher AR to unlock most things, then going back and doing the exploration afterwards.
I should have worded it better. What are the units you have at the moment?
Amber and Lisa is a bit meh. Especially Lisa.
By initial summons, I'm referring to the 20 - 30 summons you get very quickly from hitting AR10 iirc.
So basically, you do those summons, and if you don't get a 5-star, you reroll.
You're not supposed to link your account to your MHY account until you've decided to keep the account. If you want to try again with your current MHY account, one way is to start a new account on a different server. You can have 1 account on each server associated with the single MHY account.
To do that, on the login screen, simply change from your current server to another server.
Otherwise, yeah. You're going to have to create another MHY account. I don't know if you can unlink an account. I've never tried.
From the sounds of things, you don't have any 5-stars and haven't made much progress. I highly recommend rerolling for at least one 5-star before settling on the account.
@[Deactivated]: I've spent more than 10 hours on the game, maybe 15. I don't feel like throwing it away. Maybe some day they do an event that increases your chances of rolling it.
What server gives the best ping from AU? I'm playing on Asia and I get about 212 ping, which is the same ping I get to USA (california) in League of Legends. Crazy. You'd think the crossing pacific ocean would be a longer ping than to asia.

For me, Asia is ~200, while America was ~250, now it's more like ~280. Both are playable. It's only when it gets close to 400 that it starts to lag.
@lostn: Asia servers will be the best on the east coast. If you can route your traffic into the Melb CBD or Syd CBD you should get <150ms.

It's an action RPG, so input latency is a pretty big deal. MMOs can get away with it because they're not action combat. I kinda expected better pings to our neighbors than to almost half way across the globe.
Thought this was something to do with Turok 2, then realised it was 2021…
