    • dont use gmail, I used outlook email and it came through

  • not able to get the $50 voucher today for some reason, got it easily yesterday

  • Is everyone having network server issues with the live chat (flashing popup within the chat)?

I can receive their messages but they can't see mine FFS.

Really want that $200 voucher lmao

    • I have to open a separate windows browser to do it, don't switch tab

      • Yeah I have the chat specifically opened in Microsoft Edge while browsing other sites on chrome.

        • I don’t see why people are having so much trouble getting a connection. Idk if everyone else does this or does it another way. On your phone, when you view the phone it has a speech bubble on the bottom right, click on that and message them and wait. I’ve got it nearly every time and doesn’t take long at all. This is probably how most people do it but I’m just making sure because it’s worked.

          • @Diimsim: The chat doesn’t even load on my phone lol

Don’t know why everyone gets through and I don’t :( I’m not even connected to home wifi which can be spotty at times but connected to my workplaces wifi

          • +1

@Diimsim: You are using the one on online store or this https://chatbot.samsungcs-au.com/?source=dotcom

          • @Diimsim: I tired on my pc, worked fine.

Tried thrice on my phone - got through, in the middle of the chat, went kaput.

Went back to pc, got through, went kaput in the middle. Tried in incognito and it worked fine.

    • After many trials, I've finally gotten my $200 voucher.

Prob not gonna bother waiting for the $50 voucher (already been 2 days and have emailed Customer Care). Won't make much of a difference to end price.

      • Nice, what did you get.

        • S21 Ultra 256 GB in Silver

Not gonna wait for my $50 voucher when Black 256GB is already sold out. If i wait any longer, even Silver will be sold out.

          • @impostor: Yeah it says while stocks last, but someone said that they restock though. I’ve already bought the violet but I want the black.

            • +1

@Diimsim: Nice. I didn’t want to wait the estimated 4 weeks so bought the silver instead

  • Eventually got the $200 and $50 vouchers. With the trade up discount plus the $500 discount offer, got the S21 Ultra 128GB for $614. Thanks, OP. 😀

    • Good job daddy!

    • What device did u trade in, pretty good price?

      • S10+, which they valued at only $235. But went with it because of all the other offers and discounts.

    • +1

Tried 3 chat agents all telling me that $200 voucher is targeted. Has anyone got a spare code? :(

      Got Jumar twice too…fml

      • Use the loyalty link provided by someone earlier. They did it for me right away. General chat doesn't work

      • Yeah, I second Sunproof. I used the regular chat on their Web first and was told no. And then saw someone mentioning the loyalty chat link in the comments and the first agent generated it for me within 3 minutes.

  • Galaxy s10 is only worth $200 :( for a 2 yo mobile.

    • It's about $400 elsewhere. So if you take up the $500 promo, you're effectively getting $300 more than elsewhere.

    • 700 really, or 950 if you use the codes

      • True, question would be is changing phone now is worth ~$300…
        That's a great opportunity but I'm pretty happy with my S10 🤔

"Upon checking with our Support Team, the customer will be charged the full amount, Trade-in value, and bonus value, in any case that they will not send in their phone." - Taken directly from the Samsung chat support. Looks like we're forced to trade in our phones.

    • Big oof

    • What happens if I drop the phone on the way to the post office…or the post worker drops my phone ok the way to sorting bin and cracks phone?

      • then you not only forfeit the trade in value but the bonus $500 as well, as explained by others further along. They have to assess the phone to see if it is worthy of the trade in and bonus $500

  • You're my boy blue! Just ordered one. S7 was on its last legs anyway.

  • My order is still "Waiting for Approval" since early morning… is this normal?

  • Are you guys waiting for 256 hb stock or ordering 128gb?

    • 256GB did come back in and out, you have to take a very close look.

      • Is it worth spending extra $200 on memory of s21 to get 256gb?

        • +1

          Only $100 difference from 128GB to 256GB

  • No luck for the $200 voucher as well.

  • when I ask $200 voucher, the online chat response as below:

so how to get $200 voucher?

    • +2

wrong chat window. You need to try here: https://chatbot.samsungcs-au.com/loyalty

      • THIS!! All other chats/agents wont help.

Tried this and got the code

      • Thanks

      • before chatting with them, It needs model name and Serial Number to be enter in. However, I don't have a Samsung phone currently.

        • +1

Those are not mandatory fields. You can continue to chat without those details.

    • maybe mention that you're trading up from an iPhone? Or otherwise tell them the other agents you've talked to from Samsung Care Australia agreed to give you $200 voucher but once you provided details, the connection dropped out.

I mentioned I'm trading in my iPhone X so probably that helped.

  • Hi guys, i am happy to trade $50 voucher with $200 voucher. Please let me know. Want to buy s 21 ultra

    • Just wait to get $200 tonight you can stack $50 and $200

      • I tried 3 times via chat but they refuses to provide the 200 vouchers. So someone here what to swap $200 voucher with 50$ one, I am happy to swap.
And would you plz let me know what should we have to say to get 200$ from chat?

    • Thanks guys. I got the voucher. Thanks again

  • Does anyone have a screenshot you can send me of the chat saying we don't have to repay the $500 if we don't send the old phone in.

    • If too many people did that a screenshot doesn't mean anything they have the rights to do it.

What Call centre guys said not the final.

  • Anyone getting through on chat? I get this repeatedly:

Currently there are no available Live Chat Agents. Please try again later.

    • +2

      You have to keep retrying.

  • Am i missing something RE Samsung care? $3.46 per month, total $83.04($3.46 x 24 months) or 2 years up front $124.50. Why is the up front charge more than the monthly fee???

    • You'll have to pay the $3.46 for 36 months.

  • Heads up, seems like a few of the popular colours and 256Gb options are already out of stock.

  • +4

Thanks Ozbargain, I wasn't planning buying a new phone today :)

    • Haha me neither. Stayed up til midnight last to finally get through to the online chat to get the $200 voucher. $194 to upgrade S10 4G to S21 5g is a great deal.

      • Except I got the white one, the grey wasn't available anymore. I should have checked this post earlier :)
I'm annoyed though loosing the WQHD of my S10, hopefully the 120hz makes a big difference

        • 120 is big difference

my girlfriend kept saying she will feel a big difference if 120 mm more

I assume she is talking about her screen

        • I got the white one too. Makes no difference since it's going into a fully enclosed case. Plus it's for my kid, so he'll be stoked regardless.

        • I suppose we need to buy a charger now? :/

          • @ValouSydney: Search ozbargain for wireless charger, you should have charger from your old phone?

            • @superforever: Aren't you supposed to give it back with the phone?

              • @ValouSydney: Trade in, no need to send the charger back.

                • @superforever: Great! Thanks for letting me know

                  • @ValouSydney: Yeah just the phone itself.

                    • @superforever: Does anyone know (despite it being slower) if the S10+ charger will work on the S21 Ultra?

Also, my phone has still got that protective plastic screen that it came with and the plastic has got a few scratches so wondering if it's a good idea to peel it off or not. I am worried that the person who will check it when I send it back to not look at it close enough and think it's the screen that's scratched. At the same time, I am scared that peeling it off might damage the screen (not sure how hard it's glued to the screen). Catch 22.

                      • @AussieDaddy:

if the S10+ charger will work on the S21 Ultra?

Should work but not very sure about fast charging

I am worried that the person who will check it when I send it back to not look at it close enough and think it's the screen that's scratched.

I don't think they will check it that details with so many orders.

                      • @AussieDaddy: If the S10+ charger is 15W then it'll still work with S21 just won't charge as fast as the 25W charger.

  • do we really need 256GB on an S21 or is 128GB enough?

    • depends on the end user and how many videos, photos, apps etc they want on the phone. For me 128gb is fine, I copy photos and videos off once a year.

    • Depends on what you are going to put on it? Music? Photo, Video?

    • What's the storage size of your current phone? 256GB?

      • 114GB out of 128GB used on my Note 9. There are probably apps that I don't use and can get rid of (or simply not install on a new phone) and I haven't moved any photos off my phone for, probably, a couple of years. This is why I'm wondering if I can just stick to 128GB or if I need to upgrade it to 256GB - things to consider include whether S21 produces larger photo/video files and whether I need to allow enough buffer for the expected increase in app size over time.

        • 256GB - currently no stock for S21 so if you 128GB is not enough, you will need to choose a different model. S21 no longer have sd card option so if you want to use any external storage, it is going to be basically USB-C dongle.

I suggest you have a go and transferring files from your Note 9 to your PC/Mac/laptop and see if that's bearable or quite annoying. Make sure you use a USB-C cable that's capable of USB 3.0 (use the original cable).

          • @netsurfer: Stock availability is another reason that led to this dilemma/ internal discussion/ consideration - kinda prefer S21 for the size but realise that I'll have to go up to S21+ if I want 256GB. I'd prefer to stay away from S21 ultra just because of the edge screen - I've had enough of that on my Note 9.

            • @Love a bargain: Yeah, not a big fan of the edge screen. For Android, there are apps that make the phone runs a Web server so you can copy the files wirelessly to your PC so 128GB is workable. S21 doesn't have microSD card support, full HD instead of 1440p (2K) display, headphone jack is gone, and still need to get that 25W charger ($29).

Not sure whether I should get it / upgrade either. The price is enticing, but with the black all sold out and 256GB not available… I am not very keen.

              • @netsurfer: Got an old S7 available for trade in so I can get $765 off all up. This makes the final price very attractive.
& my Note 9 has recently suffered a mild case of screen burn in. It still dose everything it's supposed to do except that the colours have become somewhat faded/ hazy
For S21, grey is definitely my first choice. But then I guess if I really dislike the colour that much, I can just cover it up with a case of whatever colour I like (vs a clear case as I typically go for).

    • Photos can be backed up in Google photos so you can easily save some space. Personally I find 128gb to be enough.

      • Free storage on Google photos ends 30 June.

        • ends 30 May

  • The $200 discount code , cannot use it in the education store , only standard samsung online store ?

  • my trade ID has been used despite I haven't finalised an order yet, I did went to Afterpay but decided to cancelled that order and now it is not being allowed to use again, anyone has the same issue?

    • +1

I think you can remove and reinstall the trade in app and you should get a new code.

The value of mine was $25 less because I forgot to remove the screen lock. So I had to rerun the test to get the Max value.

      • thanks mate, just did that, didn't realise how easy to re-create one

        • Did you put in credit card on the last trade in code?

I am just wondering whether the new one will work because of they already have your credit card, IMEI, model, etc.
