Crazy good price for a decent baitcaster combo! BCF also have free C+C, but it seems like these combos are low in stock in stores, so I’d just factor in the cost of shipping too.

    You will want a spinning reel or alvey reel with a surf rod for the rocks.

    Bait casters are good for accuracy from a boat or yak not really distance or rock fishing. Though if it’s just estuary rocks than this will be good for lures and some baits

    I bought 1 of these spin combos when they were on sale for $125 last year. They are pretty good and I wouldn't hesitate replacing one. I just bought these baitcasters so the kids can learn on them as well.

    I imagine for 250 rrp they're probably not worth it, which factors into the reviews. I'd imagine for less than 80 bucks all-told reviews might be a bit more favourable. I guess use your best judgement.
