Bought this before. It has a bright light that is annoying at night.

    • Can't turn it off or break it? I was gonna get one for my bedside table…

      • You could probably cover it with tape but no way to turn it off. Something else to note is that it's Micro USB with the fat side on the top which is reversed in my opinion.

        • Do you have a picture of the micro usb part? Don't 100% get what you mean.

    • Like most other wireless chargers, there’s a light. From a usability POV, it’s nice to know when your phone/device is charging.

You could easily face the charger away from you or as suggested already, cover it up with tape

Like most other wireless chargers, there’s a light.

There are some wireless chargers that have a light but don't have a lamp-like beam effect that makes it annoying at night, which is probably what they were referring too.

        • Do you know any non irritating models?

@justtoreply: I use the Xiaomi Mi wireless charging pad 10W. Purchased it about 2 years ago so its nearly OOS/discountinued I think. There is one link here at Kogan though.

        • Apparently black nail polish works well too

  • Just bought a different one. Gets extremely hot. Is that normal?

    • No - wireless charging uses eddy currents so if you’ve got metal on your case e.g. using a magnet car dock - you’ll need to watch out.

It might get a little warm but I’d be really careful

  • thanks got another two. a black sharpie takes care of the light issue if using on bed side table.
