[PC] Free - Bananas Pet for World of Warcraft - Battle.net

320

Another little freebie for those of you that are still playing WOW.

You can claim the pet Bananas free on your Battlenet account until 2 August 2021.

If the donations to Doctors without Borders exceed 1m USD by April 26, another pet, an adorable sloth Daisy, will be made available free for World of Warcraft® players for a limited time.

From the website: About Bananas:

Born on an island off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale, little Bananas is a son of King Mukla, a fierce leader of Skymane Gorillas. Luckily, Bananas fell far from the tree and his gentle disposition makes him an ideal travel companion who will brighten your days on Azeroth and beyond.

Enjoy!

Nothing like a company that made 8.1 billion revenue last year calling on the community to donate to a charity.

So true but that seems to be standard - look at Coles, Woolworths etc.

      • Yep, not saying Blizzard is the only company guilty of this..

        • I know. I totally agree with you. Happy someone else notices and questions this.

        • KFC started doing it in the drive thru. I told them to go ask the colonel (hehe, that'll show em).

    • Ill never be a good ceo (or maybe I'd be the best?).

I never really understood why you'd aim for that high of a net profit.

I mean, assuming thats net, not gross; you've already over-paid your upper management, paid your staff, maintained your equipment, submitted your budgets…. And you have a positive 8 billion surplus?

I mean, you have 5000 staff; you could literally give every employee a 1million dollar bonus, and still be 3 billion net profit.

We're talking USA here too; 500'000 would buy someone (everyone) a fancy house, and you'd still have 6 billion!

Growing a company is one thing, you need some net profit to expand, but surely 3 billion a year is enough? Guess not.

Dividends to shareholders. The CEO's job is to maximise profit for shareholders, not salary of employees.

      • Get outta here jack, this ain't the 50's anymore

    • blizzard has done charity events in wow for years, fyi. not saying it's good or bad, but this is a pretty normal promotion.

      • And this year they are giving every player a pet as opposed to only those who donate / buy the pet

  • do you get it even if you did not donate? im sure ive donated enough in subscription to blizzard with the recent price increase

    • you don't have to donate, but you probably have to have an active subscription during the event

      • ok thanks, yes i have an active subscription for playing classic

        • the pet will only be for retail if you didn't know

      • does it come in the mailbox or how do you obtain it

        • You claim it on the bnet launcher

      • I claimed it with the link provided on this deal, don't have an active sub and didn't donate anything.

        • claimed thank you

    • What's the price now? Used to be $40 for 2 months I think.

      • $103.60 / 6 month or else $19.95/ month

        • Cheers.
