    +1 for Life of Brian.

He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy!

  • Great price for Life of Brian.

  • Seven pounds is really good too, don't know about the rest.

Gattaca is a great movie too…..

    • I second this - its thought provoking and a great social commentary.

As an ozbargainer though, you must consider the most important question when buying a DVD/blu-ray:

Am I going to watch this more than once?

Otherwise you could just rent it.

      • +1

Why rent it when you can own it for a dollar more

        • +1

Renting all of the listed movies costs $1ea, maybe $2 per week at most video rental shops.

      • Am I going to watch this more than once?

I don't know about others, but all of the movies I buy are movies I've seen before and enjoyed. I don't think I've ever bought one 'unseen'.

I have Gattaca on Blu Ray and can highly recommend it. Very underrated sci-fi movie.

  • +3

Vacancy and Hollow Man (for the rhona mitra scene =p )

    • +2

Guess you should also buy Maximum Risk for the Natasha Henstridge scene with Van Damme :)

  • +1

Monty Python: Life of Brian is this only decent movie in this list.

Wrt to the Nicholas Cage movies - http://www.thejay.com/2007/02/09/bad-nicolas-cage-movie/

  • +1

Overall, pretty lame titles but I guess that is to be expected for $8. Might grab Gattaca provided they have it.

As an alternative the 2 for $20 deal is still going at JB which offers a slightly better selection for that $10 or less price point.

Oscar nominated "Maid in Manhattan" +1

  • FYI - The Kmart at Garden City (Mt Gravatt) are currently already selling these films on Blu-ray for $8. Saw them last Friday night.

  • Maid in manhattan!!!

  • Wow - that's almost as cheap as blu-rays of better films bought online and shipped from the UK!

  • +1

Go STEALTH! "Tinman is acquiring new targets…"

  • +2

      • STEP AWAY FROM THE BIKE!

  • I bought two of these titles late last week (Friday) at the $8 price. Not sure if it started earlier or they are just saying it's a sale to get more people in.

  • +2

No movies from the 80s here, meh.

  • -4

aww none of these movies interest me.. why cant they have something like transformers 3! or pirates of the caraabean.

    • Yes, Transformers 3. Not like Michael Bay has ever ruined a movie before!

  • Welcome to the Jungle is a reference disc

    • What do you mean?

      • Sorry, it means it's a very very good example of a good quality blu-ray both Picture Quality and Audio Quality wise. For $8 it's quite a good price…

  • Agree. Nothing much in these titles. Went down todsy and noticed there were some other titles not listed in catalogue.

    3:10 to Yuma (2007)
    Paprika (2006) Anime movie
    Open Season 3
    Mona Lisa Smile (2003)

    • prom night was the one I forgot to mention

    • OMG I MISSED OUT ON A PAPRIKA BLU RAY :(

  • Kmart Rowville had some of these on it's own shelf under a $8 sign

I did also find Fracture (2007) for $8, this was not on the $8 shelf. Was with the rest of the blurays.
