seems to be a good deal too?

      US$5 shipping :/

      • Oops didn't see that. :(

Every product on Banggood is highly rated in the reviews. Whenever I’ve written a negative review, it fails to be published.

    • Not the first time I've heard that about Banggood reviews. That said I have a light almost identical to this and it is pretty decent. Of course might be completely different LEDS between them so who knows.

    • second that. I've had a negative review "rejected" so take their reviews with a HUGE grain of salt.

Will tell you now that this light most likely is not 600 lumens for this price. Even on Aliexpress for a roughly equivalent unit, e.g. Rockbros advertised 700 lumen is usually $40-50 AUD. (and is more like 500 lumen). I have a 600 lumen Knog light which retailed at $130 as my comparison.

    • +4

Yeah that goes without saying; Chinese "Lumens" =/= Actual Lumen Output. If you're paying under $20 dollars for an LED of any kind and it claims anything more than 100 lumens, it's bullsh*t.

The CCP wouldn't lie about lumens would they?!

Bought a drone from banggood for $450 (eachine ex4 with 3 batteries), one of the batteries just bloated in a few weeks, send message to Banggood, response was "not under warranty"
Will never get banged by banggood..

Will never get banged by banggood…

      ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • +2

Yeah even if it is really bright, the LED is probably going to burn out really quickly.

In an ideal world we'd buy more expensive, undervolted LEDs…

    • +2

      Totally agree - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klaJqofCsu4

TLDR: Same lumens from a few stressed leds or many unstressed leds. Unstressed leds = much longer life but larger price or unavailable!

      • Dunno why I watched that but I did

  • +1

    Really doubt it's 600 lumens

  • I recommend a Lumintop - B01
Got one of these recently and its super bright. Bought a separate 21700 5000mAh battery for it and it lasts forever.

    • It looks like it shapes the beam? Ie cuts off the top? Can you confirm? Also do you charge the battery in it? Finally how do you find the mount? Cheers

      • +1

Yeah the top of beam is cut so it doesn't blind people.

You can charge the battery in the flashlight or you can use a battery charger. It comes with a 18650 2600mAh battery.

The light comes with a mount strap as well.

  • Bought the relabelled kit on Amazon previously, https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0881MW4ZR it has been great for the price, good form factor and has all the brightness I need. But it has just a rubber mount and probably not suitable to install permanently - I only attach it when I need it, which is done in seconds.

    • Care to share exactly how bright it can get? In a low lit night/street could you see the road surface well and is it bright that car drivers can see you, too?

How long would a charge last?

      Thanks in advance.

  • Mine had a bulging power cell after a few months. It stripped the thread for the screws holding it together. The bulging battery separating the top and bottom case halves also makes it challenging to be waterproof.

  • +1

Although the website says 600 lumens, according the the brochure it comes with (apparently), says it’s only 400 lumens :/

  • +1

I can't speak to the lumens or anything but I go one of these for my girlfriend's commuter. It's been pretty reliable, she runs them no matter the time of day. The beam shaping seems to work so the glare doesn't annoy oncoming people, an underated feature.Bike lights went insane with brightness and I hate having them pointed at me when I'm riding at night.

  • I got an option for a "free" gift.
They all looked crap, but chose the weird activity strap (ahem "smartwatch"). And they added Shipping Insurance for 24c and another $6 shipping. Came to $18 total. Gave it a punt, let's see how disappointed we will be : )

  • Any recommendations for a rear light?
