Agreed - it is the set that got me out of the lego dark age.
Both forms - shipwrecked or full ship - are both great for display. Just can't decide what to settle on. Currently on full ship form but thinking of going back to shipwrecked.
Buy two and build both!

It’s been this price a few times, but I haven’t seen it lower.
At 20% off rrp it's a fairly common price: has been this price before at Myer, and at DJ's, TRU and other online stores.
Cheapest on OzBargain was $224: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/585639This is a pretty eyecatching set, but that's largely thanks to the bright and contrasting colours used.
The hull contains a large moulded piece, unlike the Creator Pirate Ship 31109 ($160 but often found at $95) which also uses brick plates for sails that I prefer.
The minifigures in both sets are quite ordinary, sadly.This is a large set thanks to the tall masts, and displaying it in cabinets isn't easy - even the Lego shop has to leave the top off the display case.
It has been at this price (20% off RRP) a few times around, even at DJ. Most common is at ToysRUs but they charge shipping. But I personally like getting it from MYER due to the MYER points and I can stack with discounted MYER GC, and I believe this is the first time they had it on 20% off.
I just pulled the trigger on this. Have 8 ships from over the last 12 years built already so may go for the shipwrecked build.
