Food delivery giant Deliveroo will be switching on free delivery for more than 1,000 Brisbane venues for the duration of this week's snap lockdown.

The offer is available for almost all of Deliveroo's partner venues (excluding KFC, Domino’s and Crust) including Cheeky Poke Bar, Seoul Bistro, Fritzenberger and Gnocchi Gnocchi Brothers. You can also stock up on essentials such as bread, milk, toilet paper and other grocery items.

The free delivery comes as the Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Moreton and Redlands council areas are plunged into a three-day lockdown following four new cases of community transmission. Though with issues surrounding the treatment of delivery riders and other gig-economy workers, it might be worth showing your support by tipping your driver.
