Very Random Question about Up and Go. (or Similar Products)

I have refrigerated my Up and Go. (As most people would)

I take it to work and drink it there and its still usually cold. As of late, I have been busy and forget its in my bag so I just put it back in the fridge when I get home with the assumption of drinking it the next day. (Stays in my bag but is usually in a cool place)

Is this bad practice? Can you take something out of the fridge for it to go to room temp then put it back into the fridge?? (Long life products if unopened)

Should be fine as it hasn’t been opened.

    • That's my assumption, I just didn't know if the changing of temps could cause it sway a bit

      • From what I’ve seen, some foods packaging will write something like once thaw don’t freeze it again…

Long life milk I’ve seen are UHT ( ultra heat treatment ), everything is dead :)

That’s why you have to consume in few days and kept in fridge after it’s opened… air gets it and bacteria (from the air) can grow.

      • might change the texture though?

  • Was Up & Go the inspiration behind your username?

      No unfortunately not:)
I used to like Twix, before they started making them in Egypt. Can you source any other than Egyption twix?

I used to like Snickers until they started making them in China. Just don't taste the same anymore.

        • On that note, I got some made in china solid easter eggs from the reject shop, kiddo harassed me to open the packet to try them before the weekend hunt. They were trash, tasted like oily candlewax and not a hint of cocoa. We took them back and swapped for cadbury and ferrero.

Try the Celebrations box. It's mar/snickers etc made in Netherlands and Germany. Tastes really good

      • I use to like Pringles, not the same as they were a decade ago

      • I'll check when the Easter bunny comes this weekend.

The temperature fluctuations in your Up & Go won't harm you, but the same cannot be said for the of amount sugar in them …

temperature shouldn't really harm the amount of sugar in Up & Go either.

This product is absolutely terrible for you surrounded by dodgy marketing practices….

"It is a highly processed product that actually contains NO Weet-Bix which will come as a shock to many. … For years, it's been marketed as a "nutritious start" for busy people when they need to "get up and go". It is not this at all"

  • I used to drink it room temperature all the time and had no issues. I honestly hated it cold, as it had less flavour.
