Would recommend the more powerful Gooloo for $10 more GOOLOO Upgraded 1200A Peak 18000mAh Portable Car Jump Starter (Up to 7.0L Gas or 5.5L Diesel Engine) High Speed Quick Charge 3.0 Auto Booster Power Pack Phone Charger Built-in LED Light https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0748D8KT6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_g…

    Not waterproof though

    • Water proof is $20 more. I would prefer the bigger capacity and higher peak current because of wear and tear.

If this is indeed 500A starting current it's actually more than both the Gooloo 1200A (350A) and 1500A (400A). I have both of these.

TBH I don't understand why they quote peak A vs CCA which is what is needed to get your engine to kick over.

Great point, thought the Gooloo was 500A. In that case I would recommend this one for $100

Meant to be 1000A, 24 month warranty too

        • I actually have that one. Went out to the car to see what it says in the specs area. Only lists 2000A nothing about CCA. It works well and agree for $100 is good value. There is no way it is 1000CCA though. My battery is 850CCA and I know how fast that turned the engine. This unit had no problems starting the car but nothing like the actual battery. Looking at the review of these type of units on youtube a high output is around 500CCA (e.g. the Gooloo 4000A unit). So it might be heading towards that.

Regardless I'm happy with it so far and good value at that price.
