260

This is a big get for Xbox Game Pass subscribers! Day one, baby!!!

With another thrilling Opening Day in the books, Major League Baseball fans around the world were treated to all the nail biters, dingers, and bat flips they could handle when teams took the field to kick off the 2021 season. But if you thought that was all the big news we’re bringing you this week, you’d be wrong!

We’re delighted to announce that MLB The Show 21 is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one and will be available on April 20 for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, as well as on Android phones and tablets via Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) for Ultimate members. Both MLB The Show 21 Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S Standard Editions will be included with Xbox Game Pass so members will be able to play the best version of the game regardless of which console they’re on. And with cross-platform play and progress, you can play against others online, and earn and use content across the platform and generation you choose.

Did not see this one coming. Releasing on Xbox at all was decent enough news, now this!

I hope they put Bobson Dugnutt and Sleve McDichael in this one

Rubbing it in on the PS owners.

Great single player modes in this, I don’t recommend purchasing to play the UT/online mode if you’re playing from Australia though. 90% of games you’re matched against Korean or Japanese players and the match is hosted on their server, this effectively puts you at a huge disadvantage because of input delay.

A lot of people will be cancelling pre-orders I reckon.

This is the craziest thing I’ve seen in gaming in a long time!! Never thought I’d see the day Sony did this. And it just raises so many questions.

Must have paid some money to Sony for this lol

It was a decision by MLB. Due to the licensing deal, MLB clearly have a big say on this. Guessing MLB is eyeing on those in app purchases the other major sports games are getting (NBA, NFL etc…).
