Has anyone else noticed that sometimes a deal will not show up on the front page even though it should?
For example, at the moment, the free eBook deal (Thriving At Work) is not appearing as the first item on the second page (page=1).
I have previously noticed this happening with other deals as well, but they do eventually appear after some time.
Hmm… That's weird. When I'm logged in, I can't see "[eBook] Free: Thriving At Work @ Amazon US & AU" deal as the second item on the second page, but when I'm logged out, I can see it between "Free Stream - Pearl Jam Live 6/25/2010 Hyde Park London, England @ YouTube" and "[PS4] Death Stranding + Ghost of Tsushima $49 Delivered @ Target via Catch". (Note that my front page settings are pretty much default.)
If it's a legit bug, taking full browser screenshots really helps the team.
Okay, I will do that next time, since I can now see it on my second page.

No, nothing is blocked.
If you have the front page set as List Old, then that deal indeed will be on the 2nd page.
If you have it on default list view, set as default for all users on 16/3, then it may not be appearing depending on your front page settings.

At the moment, the deal I posted two days ago (15/04/2021 - 15:15) is not appearing on the 3rd page.

You deal appears on the 3rd page. Screenshot for those who have their front page set at List old (or Grid old).
The default for all members and guests is List. Guest's front page hide expired deals by default. I'm guessing that there is some caching going on the front page for guests.
The deals do appear with the old list view, but my concern is that since the new list view has become the default, I have noticed some deals not appearing on the front page when viewed as a member and/or guest.
@coldlamb: There potentially should be more deals shown than previously especially when the site is slower on the weekends.
Deals are ordered by internal score which is calculated from the popularity (votes) and freshness (how recent it has been posted), similar to Reddit & Hacker News. Internal score of individual deals might get altered by various factors.
So any popular deal should be shown somewhere on the front page.
i believe It's because it's been replaced by newer top deals. (once it hits the vote threshold to get onto the front page then time is the only sorting factor - (unless it gets pinned by admin i believe)
i don't think its a bug.
