Where Are You Going for Your Dine and Discover Vouchers?

Where Are You Going for Your Dine and Discover Vouchers? We all have a place we like to dine at. Im especially interested in the 'discover' vouchers. Anyone has good value for money recommendations, hacks, tips?

I just realise the vouchers expires in June!

We've already used one of each. Dining was in a restaurant that we haven't visited in yonks. Discover was for Bowling. Initially, I was afraid that the list of places where these were valid was very limited, but since the program has started, it appears that more and more places have registered and I'm no longer worried that we'll be able to avail of the benefit.

Post from scotty on discovery ideas.

  • Used one Dine voucher for lunch at Sushi Hon near work. Will probably use the other one at one of the restaurants near Circular Quay or at Opera Kitchen when I go to the Opera House later in the month/next month.

Used one Discover vouchers to book a Sydney Tower Eye Skywalk activity for free via Klook. Might use the other one on Timezone or a tour

This was announced back in September 2020 and it finally completed its rollout 8 months later. Well done Gladys.

The point is hospitality; food and beverage outlets and entertainment has been hugely impacted by Covid and many businesses have been desperate and fighting to survive since around February 2020, this is 14 months on … it is too little, too late.

  • Have anyone managed to use multiple vouchers to settle a single bill?

    • +3

Yes.. as long as you only use one from each person..

I went to dinner with 6 people.. bill was $300

Discount with 6 vouchers was $150

      Final bill $150

  • Will use it at one of the places which double the voucher or provide an extra $25 voucher of their own

    • Yeah this is the best options

Hoyts, Reading and Events Cinemas all give you 2 movie tickets to a standard movie showing

    • As they should. Haven't been to the cinema in years, but used to get the Telstra tickets for $9, they are probably up to $12.50 now.

Food. Can't be used for alcohol.

They did one bill for food and a separate one for the beers.

  • Just found out you can use the vouchers at united cinema to buy a $25 gift card…which last 3 years. Good if you have one near and still have vouchers left before they expire.
