[PS5] Yakuza Like A Dragon $54.52 Delivered @ OzGameShop

450

Yakuza Like a Dragon is for $54.52 with free shipping. It's $79 at most the places. This is EU version which is 100% like Australian release other than rating Symbol everything else is same along with region code too which is Pal. I have seen lots of post where people worry to purchase since its not local copy. If you trade the same game to Ebgames you will only loose $1 value in total. Seems like a great deal if anyone is looking to buy one.

If you're a steel box collector, Amazon have the PS4 version (free PS5 upgrade) steel box for $59
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Yakuza-Like-Dragon-Day-PlayStation…

    • So this PS4 disc version is no difference from the PS5 version when played on a PS5?

      • +5

It will allow you to download the PS5 copy, yeah.

      • +2

PS4 version will download entire game from the internet when put into a PS5

PS5 version will copy the game from the disc and then download the patch

PS4 version has better resale value since it works on 2 console generations, PS5 version only works on 1 console generation.

        • Thanks. I will get the PS4 version for my PS5 when it's at $29 which should be next month.

        • Are you positive that you can resell the ps5 edition on the ps4 disc? Are they able to be downloaded on multiple devices?

Why’s it called steel box when it’s an aluminium case

  • $69 on PSN store if someone wants digital version https://store.playstation.com/en-au/product/EP0177-PPSA02384…

  • What an odd classification lol.

Big W has it for $59 in you want an aussie version at a walk in store.

    • The one you linked is PS4 version…..

PS4 version will unlock the PS5 version.

Good to note that that is the steel book version also. Looks like you’ve found where Amazon is price matching.

Also $59 delivered (with ebay plus) on big-w ebay: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Yakuza-Like-a-Dragon/12442801004…
Just checked 'my ebay' and I have a 'Get $10 off when you spend $30 or more using your credit or debit card.' voucher that brings it down to $49.

  • Does anybody know if you can trade EU versions to EB/JB?

    • Traded a long time ago my Yakuza 0 EU at EB but at a much lower value.

    • As I mentioned in post you can I have done plenty of times you will loose $1 for it. As they stick local ratings sticker on box.

  • Great game. Playing it now.

Why buy the PS5 version when the PS4 version is cheaper and gets you free upgrade?

    • In fairness, there isn’t a notice on the cover about a free ps5 upgrade like there is with other titles. But yes, there isn’t any reason to go PS5 copy over PS4.

    • Anal collectors will want PS5 versions of their games so they remain consistent with new game purchases. Otherwise the PS4 version is better with steel case and ability to play on 2 different generations of console.

      The major difference:

PS4 version will download entire game from the internet when put into a PS5

PS5 version will copy the game from the disc and then download the patch

People with ADSL or living in rural areas with poor internet will prefer the PS5 disc version for this reason.

      • Do not google image search 'anal collectors' T_T

        • Probably just don't search that particular term at all. I just searched it on Bing and the entire page was all porn & adult shops (safesearch off) haha. You know what I meant though.

Yes, Yakuza, I would like a dragon.

I purchase the EU versions all the time as I hate the inconsistent ugly Aussie classification rating that we slap all over on the spine of our cases. Looks ugly compared to EU and US versions

Everything including dlc works normally, I never trade in my games so can’t comment on EB Games trade ins

    • couldn't agree more. While I occasionally buy locally when theres a really good deal (and there certainly has been in the last year or two) I always get the EU/US/Asian english versions first, purely based on that big ass classification logo present on AU versions

This still works despite it saying expired. Just bought.
