How long is the warranty? Is Amazon.au doing it?

  • Thanks OP. been eyeing for a good flaks for a while!

  • I have 2 in the kitchen. Excellent thermoflask.

What do people use this for apart from Pho restaurants for jasmine tea? Honest question, trying to work out when it will come in handy

Please done say 'to keep things hot/cold', I get that part. E.g aee these good enough to boil water once a day, fill and then have coffee/tea all day without boiling a kettle?

Going out for a BBQ to have some tea after finishing with meat.

  • Does anyone get anywhere near 24hr warmth holding from Thermo gear? Tried a 1.2L Flask over night with boiling water for about 9 hours in 7°. Luke warm in the morning.

    • I have a Thermos and find that if I make tea in it before I head off somewhere for the day, at the end of the day the tea is still satisfyingly hot. Never figured it would keep something hot until the next day

      • How many hours would that typically be?

I don't expect water to be pipping hot after 24hrs but from boiling to luke warm in 9 hours is pretty lame

        • A work day at most, ambient temp normally 15 to 25, and Thermos full and not opened in between

          • @Jackson: Thanks for the reply.

Maybe mine is similar to aladdin below. It's a couple of years old now but only used once before

            • @ohyesss: Haha, you gotta be careful when you say that, alladin is aslo another flask company.

        • Just got mine yesterday, water boiling hot at 5PM. Using it until 9PM, left until morning 8AM water is less than lukewarm. There’s still 1/4 of water left in there. Maybe it is because of the cold weather in Melbourne..

    • Flush it with boiled water first.

      • I did do that. Will try again

    • You won’t get 24 hours from it. Buy a tiger one that has the glass inner layer and is made in Japan. I can get 24 hours and it’s still super hot, hot enough to make tea and coffee. I bought one from eBay last week to replace my old one where the lid was disintegrating from about a decade of use. Unfortunately the lid is plastic and is the first part to fail but no replacement part exists to purchase.

I had two of these and within a year, both no longer retain heat. i initially had first one replaced (not by Amazon) and all no longer retain heat in less than a year. just to share my personal experience.

  • Hmmmm only up to 24 hours, and it not lasting within a year?

    Better stick to Tiger

    • Have Tiger for ten years and still strong

    • This comes with 5 years warranty, so i have nothing to lose and have full refund after all.
It was with Victoria Basement. Not sure how easy to deal with Amazon warranty return.

  • back to $60+ unless im doing something wrong?
