Pixel 4a - when will the price drop!?

Looking at the Pixel 4a (not 5g) for my wife. She wants an affordable compact phone not a phablet.

Any idea when these will drop?

Any other similar priced phones the are compact you can recommend?

    Can be had for $535 in store at JB hi-fi.

    How much are you willing to spend on the phone? Any price drops are irrelevant if it still does not meet your budget.

    I got LG G8 for wife couple weeks ago from Amazon AU when it had stock for $440 AUD with free shipping (prime). I was contemplating Pixel 4a but this was lot cheaper. She already has used LG G6 & G7 so she wanted G8 even though I recommended Pixel. As they say, happy wife, happy life.
