For $423, you can get Lenovo Edge E520 Laptop Core i3, 15.6", see: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/61575

From a quick search, I see that OZB member 'stralya' first mentioned this in the forums.

EDIT: As other members have pointed out, the pre-cashback price is quite common, so it doesn't matter which retailer you buy it from. Nevertheless, I still think this is a bargain.

I might go to $199 with free postage on this one. Not worth any more than that

  • reading the performance specs, $199 might be almost acceptable :)

  • Yup I agree, $199 and I would be all over this!

It's an old model, but it's capable of basic every day use. It's aimed at casual users, good for mums or dads who want something simple.

Definitely don't get this if you wish to use heavy duty apps like matlab, CAD, photoshop, or want to do 3D gaming.

… or want to turn it on

It would turn on just fine, and that is taking it a bit far on actually how capable this is for everyday use. Even an old P4 suits most needs.

        • If you think P4 suits most needs, then what's wrong with a P4?

    Typical price, not a bargain…

Hey, sorry I should've checked other stores. It sounds like IT Orange got more credit than it deserves.

However, just because it's in other retailers doesn't mean it's a bargain. I still maintain it is, no matter which retailer you buy it from. I guess it's up to the customers to decide if it's something that they're interested in.

  • Bring back the $199 netbooks…

  • this price $299 after cash back , everywhere . not special & bargain at all :(
