Sounds better than the current KFC deal, at least in SA, which is finishing up anyway. Also the donuts were awful imho.

Red Rooster chips definitely edges out KFC chips. Both are great though.
RR - chips, rolls/subs, (roast chicken n/a kfc )
KFC - ZINGER!, burgers, popcorn, wings are dirty but ok
both fried chicken pieces are bad, potato/gravy not good
How is it possible? A lack of chicken salt usually leaves you disappointed, unless of course you ask for extra salt, at which time you regret asking because they load it with too much salt, making it inedible. This is usually my experience anyway.
Maybe because RR has cleaned up its act since around 2016 and everyone still disregards it as a fast food chain.
KFC chips are soggy half the time, and taste worse.
Red rooster chips are better in every way.
@Jalif: agreed, i find KFC chips a bit stale tasting, RR chips are the best, followed closely by Hungry Jacks chips, not a fan of Maccas fries…
RR > KFC EVERYTHING (except chicken pieces)…the cole slaw and P&G are so much better at RR

Really depends what's on offer and what you're in the mood for. I personally enjoy both depending on my mood. Variety is the spice of life, after all.

Did RR change the strips recently on the strip sub/rippa roll? They seems smaller now, like shorter maybe fatter and the roll seems smaller or different.
Probably could just be different variations in bread sizes and the sizes of strips we get in frozen. Some packets are long and short / fat and thin it just stock variance I think.
The 2 different stores within Southern Cross station are going to say they ran out of stock of this particular chicken used for the $4.95 subs.
