Did you try the ad block service on the eero?
eero generation 1 is not an upgrade from Google Wi-Fi. Check your ISPs setup requirements because eero only supports IPoE. Does any of your computers, mobile phones, tablets support Wi-Fi 6? How fast is your NBN download speed?
IPoE = supported.
PPPoE = no.
VLAN 802.1q = no.
I have the Eero 3 pack. Ended up only deploying 2 nodes as that adequately covered my house. Performance is good. Never used the ad block service. I think that comes at a monthly cost. I bought it at 40% off during the Prime Day sales. Not sure if it would be worth it otherwise. The TP-Link M5 is comparable for cheaper.

Err why did you need anything
Eero is working well so far. I bought the eero 3 pack last week and happy as there are no longer black spots around the house. We are building a second storey so I also bought an extra one as they are currently on sale.
I’ve got the normal eero since Dec with 3 units setup through out the house. Not really a tech person and was able to set it up quite easily. Only glitch I came across was an issue getting my Sonos system on to the eero network but manage to sort it out after some troubleshooting. Have great wifi coverage throughout the house now and quite happy with it.
