This SM rated semi-synthetic oil appears to be well reviewed for the price - currently about $10 more expensive elsewhere.
Another oil on sale is Valvoline XLD premium 15W-40. 5L for $14.99
Nothing for Magnatec in the catalogue.
I will take a stab and say Magnatec 10W-40 at $22.50 from SCA is a better buy as it is a more widely used oil. For what it's worth, Magnatec has also been tested to SN standard (introduced in Nov 2010) - read more here http://www.carbibles.com/engineoil_bible.html

Oh, I like this Gulf Western brand. It's actually very good & an Australian brand too. Been the best oil all round that I've used in my old turbo car, GW Premium Gold that is which is a 15w40. Did better in my car then the equivalent Castrol GTX3 & even Penrite HPR10/15.
If an Aussie product is just as good if not better while being priced the same or very close, then why not buy Australian? Keep more money & people employed locally.
It's definitely worth giving the Aussie stuff a chance. Gulf Western, Nulon & Penrite.
