  • I always use the built in iOS one how is this different?

    • What is the built in iOS app?

      • -1

        Clock.

      • +1

Under Settings, Apple ID (right up the top where it shows your name). Only covers iOS subscriptions though.

        • If that’s what they are referring to. They could also use reminders or the calendar to track subscriptions on the iPhone and cover third party subs.

      • +1

No app. Under your Apple ID there will be “Subscriptions”.

Relying on app to remind you to cancel on another app?

I just flag my bills in email and put reminder to pay.
    Easy.

    • yup I just use my calendar to remind me

    • Most subscriptions auto renew. This seems more for people that want to either track expenditure (it’s easy to lose perspective on how many subscriptions you have and what they cost) or have a service cancel on a set date.

Many services will just run their course if you cancel prior to the expiration date, however some others there’s an impact and you may want to put off cancellation. For example, with Audible you lose your credits at the time of cancellation, so if you are sitting on unused credits you might want to hold off on cancelling until you’ve had time to use any account credit up by purchasing audio books. Cancelling prior to expending all credit in that case is a complete waste and thus why you might want to track renewal dates.

      Calendars an obvious other option.

  • Thanks, looks more advanced than Bobby which I have been using for quite a while.
    Cheers

  • Thanks Op.
