    Price jacking to reduce on coupon should be frowned apon. Wait… it's actually illegal.

    Camels is saying this is not a 40% discount and that you increased the price on April 8 to reflect the upcoming sale and that previous sale price was the current discounted price. Poor form.

    Stop trying to game people.

        Well, that's true.

        $18.26 is cheaper than $20.28 but that 40% difference comes from the jacking. Offering a 7% discount is fantastic, be up front and honest about it.

        It's almost like these amazon reps are following a playbook thats on youtube and just trying to game people. Increase price, advertise here, cop flak but get the ones who arent paying attention to buy. It's a seedy end of town doing this; just quit it.

    Kmart rechargeable is $12 with similar no touch features. Isn't zoomable but does have a red light mode, which I find more useful.

    Raising the price a week before creating a fake 40% sale is in breach of Australian Consumer Law.

    Kogan got fined $350k for doing the same thing

    The Federal Court has ordered Kogan Australia Pty Ltd (Kogan) to pay a penalty of $350,000 for making false or misleading representations about a tax time sales promotion, in breach of Australian Consumer Law.

    In July 2020, the Court found that Kogan had misled consumers by advertising over a period of four days that they could use the code ‘TAXTIME’ to reduce prices by 10 per cent at checkout, when Kogan had increased the prices of 621 products immediately before the promotion.

    In most cases, the prices of these products had been increased by at least 10 per cent. Kogan then decreased those prices soon after the promotion ended, many back to their pre-promotion prices.
