News+ Network: The Advertiser, HeraldSun, Daily Telegraph, CourierMail Subscription

I keep getting notifications for articles on these publications and within the garbage Murdoch network.. I want to minimize the amount of money I give these (foul language) but unfortunately I can't find free/public versions of the articles sometimes when searching the author or title. (They often cross publish to international publications which have the same article for free.)

Anyone got some good ideas here?

Tell your phone to not notify you of stories from those publishers.

  • I leech mine from a friend who works at a university and has their employer pay for their subscription; they use my SMH subscription as a trade.

    Australian news services are crap
All we hear is what they feed us and most international news fails to make it to the Australian population, what makes news is a lost and found dog/cat, a hoon caught doing a burnout and any other dribble forced down our throats

To keep up to date i use https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/
it has an Australian section https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/World+News/South+Pacific/Austral…

Nobody has the balls to tell the truth in the news anymore. Why haven't these been on the evening news?

Agreed, this is actually fairly free from bias.

It's NewsCorp - do you really need to read THAT article? Surely a more reputable source has covered it.

I don't really follow the news, and any time I want to read something I just find it on the ABC News site/app.

    • It's usually business articles that I'm trying to read that cover businesses that FT don't really care about.
