The next freebie from the Epic Store. This week it is a DLC for a free-to-play game.

This week it is: Epic Champions of Renown DLC for the free game Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms

This week works a little differently: here are the instructions from the Epic website:

Collect your $100 value add-on for free! Install and log in to Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms between 30 April at 1AM and 7 May at 1AM to unlock the Epic Champions of Renown in-game! This limited-time offer is available to all new and existing players on the Epic Games Store.

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms
You start with iconic Dungeons & Dragons characters like Bruenor Battlehammer from R.A. Salvatore's Forgotten Realms novels, Jaheira from Baldur's Gate, and you unlock additional Champions through adventures and events, like Drizzt Do'urden, Farideh, and Jim Darkmagic.
Gameplay gets deeper with each Champion you unlock. Master formation strategy to complete hundreds of adventures in a fantasy world based on official Wizards of the Coast D&D books like Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Tomb of Annihilation, and Curse of Strahd.

Key Features
- Unlock Renowned Champions
Collect renowned Champions from the world of Dungeons & Dragons, including fan-favourites from the Force Grey series. Unlock more Champions and gear to add to your party in limited-time events.

• Formation Strategy
  Mastering the position of each Champion to maximize their special abilities is the key to completing each adventure. Each Champion's abilities and gear requires careful thought to create the best combination. Only the most powerful formations will defeat the waves of Dungeons & Dragons monsters.

• Explore the Forgotten Realms
  Take your Champions on a journey through the Sword Coast. Players will be able to explore familiar locations within the Forgotten Realms as they tackle each adventure.

• Regular Events
  The game is updated regularly with limited-time events. Completing events unlocks new Champions and gear to add to the player's collection.

• Offline Progress
  Your adventure continues even when you're not playing. Set-up your perfect formation and let your Champions battle monsters to earn gold while you are away from your computer.

• Time Gates
  Choose to unlock the Champion you want if you missed their limited-time event.

• Patron System
  Revisit and replay your favourite adventures with new challenging restrictions for even greater rewards.

    As g12345567 says in the actual ozb thread for this game - sometime on Fri 23/4 Epic have changed the deal

    People who've already claimed Alien Iso before this date should claim again to get extra content, and because for previous claimants, the page itself no longer said game owned

    Putting it here because OP knew about this change, but presumably forgot/neglected to inform his own audience

  Collect your $100 value add-on for free! Install and log in to Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms between 4/29 at 11AM Eastern and 5/6 at 11AM Eastern to unlock the Epic Champions of Renown in-game! This limited-time offer is available to all new and existing players on the Epic Games Store.

  Free DLC isn't listed in Epic Store. To claim you'll have to install (673.33mb), login and play the game just to get this free $100 value "Epic Champions Of Renown" DLC. Once claimed you can uninstall the game and the DLC will remain attached to your account. Verify by visiting Epic games and select Account Name > Account > Transaction History form the Epic web site,

  Start game and you'll be greeted with the following in game message.

  Eh. I haven't missed a single deal yet, even for the games I'm sure I'm never going to play. However, this one is a bit of work, installing, logging in, etc. and again, I doubt I'll ever play it, as I don't like FTP generally. I'll skip this one.

  I don't quite undeestand how it works, I'm trying to get this for my nephews. so we go to ewpic to claim the 'dlc' from the link but IF we log in between those specific times today, we can also get something else? confusing…

    For this giveaway you need buy the base free to play "Champions of Forgotten Realms" game from the Epic Games store. Then install and play it before the 7th May 1am to claim the free "Epic Champions of Renown" DLC.

    Once claimed the DLC will remain yours to keep forever. Even if you uninstall the game.
