Really great beginner machine. Can be messy just incase that bothers you. Worth checking out if you have Breville factory seconds near you, I was able to get a new open box example for $399.

Are there actual Breville factory seconds stores?

The Sydney Wattle Street store closed down, do you know any other store in Sydney?

  • In store for $589.99 until 9th May or until stocks last.

  • This is not eligible for the Breville Gift Pack. The Costco model is BES875, whereas the Breville Gift Pack requires you to buy the BES870.

    • What's the difference between the two?

      • The BES875 comes with a thermo jug to monitor the temperature of milk. The BES870 comes with a plain jug.

    • I've revised the promotion bit until we get a confirmation, thanks.

  • Add a extra $150 to buy the Single Dose Hopper, else you get 3g of stale beans in every shot.

    • +1

Or just get cheap scales and only add 18g each time?

  • Would it be worth replacing a De'Longhi Dedica with this?
I already have a grinder, so I'm thinking not… If anyone has a good, non-grinder inclusive alternative around this price to suggest it'd be appreciated.

    • +1

If you already have the grinder, maybe go for the cheaper Breville Infuser model? Same mechanism as the express without the grinder

    • Are you happy with your De'Longhi Dedica or is it not good enought and that's why you are thinking about upgrading? I'm planning on buying one in a few months and would like some feedback in the meantime.

      • It's good overall. If you want coffee for two it gets a little less good, as you really have to wait a while until it rejiggers and gets ready for the second cup. Forget 3+ people..! And it can be a bit inconsistent, depending on how long you leave it on for before you make your coffee.
Overall, for the $150 I paid, it's been a million miles better than instant, a long way better than pods and not far enough behind a local barista coffee that I miss them too much. I'd love something that can do two cups at once, or didn't have the down time inbetween, and was a bit more consistent.

try switch off and on the machine in between, it saves you 10-15 seconds. I think the coffee machine for $200 is a good value but the grinder always grinds a few grams more, is it possible to adjust it?

  • Great entry machine, great price. Slack sesame is where it's at.

  • @gonzule - If I'm looking at the right one, it's currently the same price as this offer?

    • Apparently yes, it's priced the same, but it sometimes goes on sale for 190

  • Only online delivered or in store as well?

I still prefer the combination of Breville Bambino Plus + Breville smart grinder. main reason is the ability to do auto milk texturing when you are lazy. i know a few friends who bought the express and used it only a couple of times because they cant get the milk texturing right.

  • It's slightly cheaper in store at $589.99 Could only see stainless models in the Perth Costco warehouse, but can confirm that it's the BES875BSS model so no eligibility on the mother's day bonus.

  • +1

Fyi - if your buying the appropriate model through good guys commerical it is eligible for this promotion.

Thanks op didn't even realise it was on and now getting a free kilo of coffee as a result (bought the bambino plus)

    • No problem, enjoy the machine and the free coffee :)

I got one from Good Guys today and they matched the Costco price I just showed Costco website on my phone

    Good luck

    • Just tried to price match this deal in a WA Good Guys store. No luck and said they only work off an approved list and definitely not Costco. Bit of a bummer. Did you say anything special?
