  • To a covid sick family member?

What is the power supply voltage in India?

    • I think it is same as here, most of the Commonwealth countries share this voltage and frequency (230 V 50 Hz).

    • Power is identical in India, with a different socket. Adapters should be readily available.

    • Power is same as here and plug type is similar to UK. But now days universal adapters are available everywhere.

  • Perhaps you could consider contributing to this fundraiser rather than trying to source and supply machines?

  • It is not available to order from online. Amazon au/us doesn't deliver in India. Ebay & flipkart doesn't have it. Due to covid even local supply chain is irregular. We have plenty available here and found due to lithium batteries in most portable Oxygen Concentrator transportation by flight can be major issue.

When it comes to elderly relatives, we become extra cautious for their health specifically in this situation.

    • It is not available to order from online.

No, it wouldn't be. Specialised medical devices is kind of a niche market, and not really in the scope of eBay, Amazon.

A quick web search could avail you some options (I don't speak for the legitimacy or quality of these stores/websites)

You'd be better off looking around locally for companies that rent/sell medical devices (ask your GP or local hospital for some businesses to contact).

BOC sells them, as would other medical gas providers.

      • it is available here in Australia online & offline but not in India to purchase online or offline.

        • You'd probably be hard pressed to get one online in India without getting price-gouged given what's happening there at the moment.

Another quick we search (make sure you change the Country selection to India) gave a few results - again, can't speak for the legitimacy or quality of them. The Amazon ones were all "currently unavailable" but.

  • Just for reference if anybody was following this post:
I bought Devilbiss 5 Litre Oxygen Concentrator, it doesn't have lithium batteries so it can be sent by Airfreight.
DTDC quoted AUD 334.52, Insurance AUD 37.5, Total $372.02 for economy airfreight to India.
    Thanks

  • Update:
No import duty on Oxygen Concentrator but still IGST payable was Rs 27918 payable to DTDC in India.

    Model sent is:
    https://drivedevilbiss.com.au/compact-525-5-litre-oxygen-con…

Humidifying bottle is optional extra if needed.

IGST counted at max $1400 approx 28%

    • Interesting. Where did you purchase it from and for how much? I am looking for one myself to ship to India

  • +1

    UPDATE:
India has reduced IGST rate from 28% to 12% for personal use equipments from 1st May.

  • I bought from benmed.com.au but they are out of stock.
I recon keep calling suppliers and see if they have in stock.

  • Are 5l capacity ones recommended for covid patients or 10l ones are required. Which have high oxygen concentration.

    • Most seem to suggest 5l/person

      • i guess depends on model, few of the concentrator's which i have seen maybe be dodgy ones do not maintain same concentration level when running at 5l and only got high level of concentration when running on 2l capacity.
