Had a bad experience with target online last year bought 5 items in 1 transaction, they only sent 4, even packing slip showed same. However no calls or emails about when they would send the missing item or refund. They did not reply to email and could not get anyone through phone or chat. Physical stores could not help either, so had to get cc chargeback.

Service with Australiuan online retail has been worse than most China-based operations to me, which speaks volumes. I tried to make an order the other way with Target and the order was cancelled without so much as a message explaining why. I had previously made successful orders with them (years ago).

You should be happy that you hit the spot after years of successful orders . For me I let about 3 mths of cancellations build up and get them out of the road all at the same time with a phone call . Simply a part of dealing with them .

FWIW had same thing twice with a recent Myer deal.

It seems to be an Aussie online retail thing these days… capture the sale $’s but then dribble out the often incomplete order. Zero way of communicating with them too…by design probably.

  • maybe Target is closing for good, and try to sell any stocks in their inventory left ?

my local Target is now a Kmart

    • Thanks for that. Looks like a few stores are staying in Sydney, eg parramatta, Broadway,

Interesting you say this as same as a regional one I know turned from a kmart to a target. I don't know what other kmarts are like but I feel its a bit surprisingly since I really like Target better to be honest.

In saying that, I think they're both owned by the "Westfarmers group" or something, so I guess they're really just in competition with themself which could be why they want to close one down.

    My experience with Target:
    Ordered 12 items
    Click and collect
Opened box at home only 11 items
Went back to target and told them
Got my money refunded for the 12th item as could not find stock

That sounds like an acceptable resolution. Mistakes happen. It's how they deal with it that matters.

      Underrated comment

      • You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

  • Buying clothes online from Target was a strange experience. Got two pairs of pants, same size from the same range. One fit perfectly, the other didn’t fit at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • That’s a good trick for all retailers. It’s worthwhile trying on a few of the same size, I’ve found this with country road suits as well

Did you put one on before meal and the other on after meal? :D

  • Remember Cashrewards for extra 4% off. I forgot :(

  • Is the quality that much better than big w?

    • My experience, some of their products are better (some clothes, like Dannii Minogue) but I am not sure generally we can say it is better or worse.
