A Good Deal? - $1933 Spectre X360 16GB/512GB/1165g7 (4cores, 8threads) FHD OLED Screen

Forgive me, noob ozbargainer here.

Old laptop has died (spectre, ironically), had for six years, need a new one.

Looking at doing some video/photo editing (although I have a desktop for the heavier stuff) and potentially colour related work (film school) which is why the processor and OLED (with decent colour reproduction) is appealing.

Have access to this laptop for $1933 (RRP $3399) with Uni student pricing. Reckon it's a good deal?

Always seems a toss-up whether OLED is a good idea on a laptop or not, it's not 4K so I'm thinking it won't be such a huge power hog and for my use case (some colour intensive work), seems like it could be a valuable addition.

Haven't found many reviews of this specific unit online, anyone with personal experience or some thoughts to share? Need a new laptop pretty much ASAP; suggestions welcome.

TIA

For that price I'd want better than 'Intel Iris Graphics'.

    • Any specific suggestions? Xe graphics are the best integrated graphics around, and I would not be gaming on it. Needs to be portable and lightweight for lugging around across campuses.

  • That is a hot price. I have my second Spectre 360 going on now. Remember it also has 14 day return, so if you are not happy you have an option.

  • Go for sell… Will last forever

  • Where are you getting this deal??

  • I'd prefer the spectre 14. HP Envy and Spectre are too overpriced in Australia, but cheap in America.

    • Do you have a link for a unit with those specs for around that price (or better) please?

  • I bought it. Has a 14 day return policy so if it doesn't work out I can send it back. Really sad I missed out on the 14 inch version of this tho..
