Best 65'' TV under 2k?

I'm looking to replace a 10 year old 40'' Sony. What's the best option I can get for under 2k?
Only use the TV a couple of hours every night at most, play games or watch Netflix.
Couch is about 2.5 meters away, is 65'' a good size?
And what do you do with the old TV?

    Picked up a Samsung UA65TU8000 a few weeks ago. 2020 model and looks pretty decent, so I'm happy with my purchase.

    I'd reckon between the hisense 65q8 or the Sony 65x9000 (if you can find one)

      yeah been looking at those two, I have a fairly small tv unit, so probably the hisense.

    Your old tv, put it on Gumtree or Facebook marketplace. Free or for a few $$. Will be gone pretty quick, especially if you put on free.
