Is that Movie Collection included in the box from this deal? The box description says:

Here you'll find all 124 outrageous episodes, plus 4 feature-length epic adventures

      • +5

OPs deal says 8 seasons, which means it should include the movies (Season 5).

        • +1

This was released as 8 seasons. The 4 movies, each originally shown as 4 x 22 min episodes and released as 4 separate movies. Slot in between season 4 and 5.

      "Sweet llamas of the Bahamas!"

  • Great deal. Looks like just above the all time low of $32.50.

Every time this comes up on Ozbargain I get very tempted… then talk myself out of it (as I only need the later seasons which have a Blu-ray release).

  • +5

Honey, I wouldn't talk about taste if was wearing a lime green tank top. BAM!

  • +11

Did anyone else think Disenchantment was a big let down or am I the minority? Surprised they went ahead with Season 2 … And then 3 I just read.

    • Took a while to find its stride - started to come good late in Season 1, Season 2 was good, 3 kinda fell away a bit.

    • +1

Could be worse, could start totally god damn amazing, basically unbeatably good, like Rick and Morty S1 and 2 and just slowly climb down the stairs of quality like a slinky.

    • +1

'Aggressively mediocre' is the most common assessment of Disenchantment I've encountered. It's better than modern Simpsons, but that's a pretty low bar.

    • It's one of those shows where the first season is Meh, because the characters quirks aren't entertaining (unlike futurama characters).

However, season 2, has Elfo less of a dweeb, and Luci still 'evil' but friends (like Bender), and Bean is less angsty.
It's a long haul for a short pay off, but eh, if it's on, I'll watch it.

    • +1

I couldn't get past the first episode. When shows get big $$ from the start they rarely prove themselves worth it. Some exceptions do apply but not this one.

  • A true Ozbargainer would take advantage of the Disney Plus free trial week to binge these

/that is a lot of television

    • +1

Disney plus don't offer at trial anymore :(

Fantastic deal navamac. Glad I got in this morning before Amazon changed their price.

    • +1

Glad you could get one! Happy to have been able to share this deal here, thanks!

  • +1

This is like $1.20 per disc. Cheaper than trying to get them burnt to blank DVDs

    • +3

Cheaper to get blank bluerays and burn the lot into it.

  • Where's the 8K version?

    • You want 8k 4:3 video?!

      • yes! It's about sharpness not aspect ratio. [of course I know the source material isn't there to support it.]

  • +1

Only available now for $109 + shipping.

    Shut it down lads.

  • Bought when it was $32.50

Ripped and put on the plex

    Love this show

    • Tried ripping my DVD's a long time ago with Handbreak - but could never completely get a consistently good result as interlacing kept cropping up (like a random scene in an episode would be clearly interlaced and the next not). Ended up just torrenting a copy, but these are not as good as I would like.

      • Your best bet with dvd, since disk space is so abundant now, is NOT to encode them at all.

Just put them in, run them through makeMKV, and its done.

Just wraps the mpeg2 stream in an MKV container for you. 1:1 dvd :)

        • 'remux'

    • Already on Plex but would have definitely grabbed this if in time. Imho the greatest animation ever made.

  • +2

    I'll take 8!

  • Just arrived in VIC. Now to rip it all to my HDD, any recommendations for a program that won't compress the shit out of it?

    • +1

MakeMKV will do NOTHING to it.
Simply mux the MPEG2 stream out of the disk, and into an MKV file.
The DVD decrypting is all built in too.

The only tool you should ever use. No strange internet traffic either; it only hits the decryption database, and that's all.
