Thank your mother for the Rabbit…

Best before date is pretty meaningless for this dark ale. I'd expect it would improve over time, if anything.

    • +1

      Being air tight sealed?

      • This beer is bottled with live yeast, so it will change slightly over time, developing slightly milder flavours.
It is a bit like vintage wine in that regard.

        • So it may turn really really bad if you try and age it?

          • +1

@onlinepred: Opposite, the live yeast helps the beer continue to very slowly ferment in the bottle, potentially improving flavours.

In any case, I don't think age will make a noticeable difference to this particular beer, and I would happily drink it for many years after the best before date if it is stored somewhere cool out of the light.

  • A case is 24 "items", so can we get the cheaper freight??

    • +4

The item is a Slab (containing 24 bottles) but it is still just one item.

      • Haha had to ask - ordered. Cheers

  • +5

    Yum. Quality dark beer.

Aramex or Australia Post? Wow tough choice. "Would you like to receive or not receive your package"

    • Aramex just lost my parcel. So I'm not getting anything at all!

      • +1

The place of purchase should be sorting this out for you. We always prefer to be the point of contact if issues arise as we can generally escalate and resolve them quicker.

    • +3

      Lol True.
Fastway Couriers name change to Aramex..Where they overtaken by another company? Didn't improve anything with their service 🤦‍♀️

      • +1

Every company gets complaints cause parcels can get lost, and they can break. How you deal with that is what matters.

We feel the let down can come from individual drivers, and we pass on feedback and actively avoid certain areas when we have consistent user experiences to avoid customer disappointment.

All things we do to maintain our expectations for our customers.

        • +1

Lol you see many press release news articles when they rebranded to Aramex? They've done it as quietly as possible to try and wipe the dirt off.

No courier is great but Fastway/Aramex is a special kind of c**p.

        • Who would have thought that a delivery contractor would handle an item roughly? If you chat to these guys, you find they are never paid an hourly rate with entitlements, it's always some questionable piece rate arrangement that relies on everything going right, including the traffic, for them to make bank. That's after everybody has taken their little bit from the delivery charges in the supply chain.

Just a tip, when you consign items of value as a business model, it's worth finding out about the working conditions of the people who will deal with your customers.

        Fastway…more like Slowway.

  • +3

Nice drop even if it's owned by Lion.

  • How much does it cost to send 12 items, $0 ? You quote prices for under and over 12 but not 12.

    • Updated, should have read 12 or more items.

    Ordered.

  • Chances of any being left in store on Friday?

    • We have an online allocation and in-store allocation to avoid in-store shoppers missing out.

  • Would Dan’s price match this?

    • +9

Never mind. Ordered direct from OP. They deserve the business for bringing the offer.

      • We appreciate this support. :)

  • My favourite beer!

Reccomend you add one of these to your order

    https://winesellersdirect.com.au/beer/dark/big-shed-golden-s…

Its a dark beer that has a Golden gaytime after taste quiet crazy but fun to drink experience

    • ‘Golden gaytime aftertaste’, ‘fun to drink experience’.

I’ll have to take your word for it.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

      • +1

Fantastic beer if you like dark beer and Golden Gaytime Icecream.

      • It is good, get past the name/idea and you will be coming back for more.

    • any others you recommend?

  • +1

    Nice, ordered the dark rabbit

  • Hi winesellersdirect,
I have 2 slabs in my cart all ready to buy, but I really really don’t want Fastway or whatever they have rebranded as. I agree that all delivery services having issues, and also agree that how the issues are dealt with is just as (if not more) important - the latter is where I have had my difficulties with Fastway.

It doesn’t appear to give me a choice of courier. I’m in metro Adelaide. If I request Auspost in the order comments will it be with them?

    • Scratch above - i just read the instructions on the order page properly 🤦‍♂️

      • No worries, for those reading here - simply enter comments of the preferred carrier in the comment section on our checkout page including any delivery instructions. Cheers

        • Hi OP, only saw this comment after I place my order. Can you assist with posting it via Auspost? My order number is #1000035098. Much appreciated!

          • @Wsk: Same with me. Would prefer AusPost. Order #1000034968.

          • @Wsk: Sorted. You will receive update.

            • @winesellersdirect: Just received the update via e-mail. Appreciate your prompt response, please keep the deal coming and will be more than happy to purchase from you guys. Cheers!

              • +1

@Wsk: We always try for deals like this… Cheers

  • +1

    Thanks OP, ordered

  • How long is this promotion running for (as deal is listed as ending June 30)?

Hoping to pick up at one of your stores over the weekend.

    • Whilst stocks last, so we have the deal date longer than the stock will last.

  • This is late, but can anyone tell the difference between Asahi Super Dry Black and this? Using that as a comparison since I like Asahi's dark beer

    • +1

I've been drinking a lot of Asahi Black lately. I tried the Asahi based on the fact I really like White rabbit.
They're very similar but not the same. If you like the Asahi Black you will most likely enjoy White Rabbit.
