It says its free delivery for orders over $100 this weekend.

    Only 60hz :c

    • +4

      yeah it's a ultrasharp model, not a gaming-oriented model

  • +4

    Its a 2015 model.

    • Actually more like 2014 as they tend to use a year in advance. So they are already 22 models.

This is a pretty poor deal given how good their recent monitors have been

  • Kogan sells a 34" qhd 144hz ips monitor for about $650. It's flat though not curved.

    • +1

Kogan panels don't hold a candle to the Ultrasharp range though.

      • LG vs BOE.

For half the price of other qhd 144hz ips monitors I'm not complaining. No dead pixels and the backlight bleed is fairly uniform.

        • Oh you have it (the white one)?

Can you give any other impressions? It seems like the best ultrawide deal out right now… only “issue” is that it’s flat and not curved, which everyone seems to think is worse on reddit…

Be nice if it was 4K.

what is the best alternatives to this monitor for the same price and for someone who do photography/video work?

    • Doubt you'll find anything better at this price. Ultrasharps usually come with good calibration.

      • good calibration.

true, but say nothing about backlight bleeding and broken pixels.

        • Zero dead pixel guarantee on the Ultrasharp range. Dell replace the entire thing if there is one but I don't know if that applies to resellers tbh. BLB is usually pretty good and uniform on the ones I've had.

          • @Tacooo: “pretty good” is relative. My comment below.

            • @AlexF: Anecdotal evidence, ive had heaps of ultrasharps over the decades and have never seen a dead or stuck pixel in any of them

  • I have just gotten this screen from the deal : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/618810

It arrived yesterday and I set it up for the MRS for an early mothers day pressie. Worked right out of the box, no dead pixels and nice and sharp screen. I am very impressed I must admit and would highly recommend them.

  • I wouldn’t buy a Dell monitor from a reseller. If paying for a premium monitor, want premium warranty. Went through two of these before accepting. The rejected probably ended up on Dell Outlet as refurbished. New P3421W is $850.

      what are you on about?

it's the same warranty as if you bought from Dell. zero difference.

    • ”If you are an end user customer and wish to return a product that you have directly purchased from Dell Australia Pty Limited (“Dell”), we are happy to offer an exchange or refund or credit of the purchase price paid, provided the product is returned to Dell within 15 days of the date of Dell's invoice.”

This is way more powerful than any warranty because it’s subject to customer’s choosing rather than reseller’s or Dell’s whim. No debating, threats, tears - just refund.

      • you're just making things up.

Dell warranty is based on serial/Tag , not even an invoice is required.

kinda stupid to make statements when you clearly have no clue. sorry to say

Are you sure about it? Any references?
