Bought it for $239 on black Friday. So, not a bargain.

    • 2020?

      • Yup

    • You bought from Big W at $239?

  • Is this much better than the OG V6 I still have and slowly dying?

    • I’d reccommend atLEAST a v8 if your upgrading from a v6, from personal experience

      • -2

V8 has less power. V7 is the best.

Fair enough, i and my family have a v6, v8, v11 outsize and a dreame v11. So I’m just going off what I/we already own. Thanks for correcting

          • @Edamamme: What is dreams v11 closest too?

            • +1

@Azif: I was so curious about this before I bought one. I would say it’s closest to a v8. In terms of weight, size and suction. (As I haven’t tried Dyson v9/v10 I can’t compare it to those so it could be equal to those) Except much better battery life, extra speed modes etc. I can’t tell you the difference in specs, but definitely feels & works like a great vacuum for the price. Also feels more premium than I thought it would too.

I rarely use the turbo mode and find the medium mode works great for most things. It’s not loud, but it’s a different kind of noise frequency than the dysons IMO.

Hope this helps, home sick with a cold and need more coffee to effectively communicate right now haha!

              • @Edamamme: Thanks, have a V6 and wanted an upgrade. Though a bit disappointing it's not close to v11 dyson

                • @Azif: No problem. I know I was already curious how they compared having similar names, and only ever having Dyson. But for the price when it goes on an OzB sale, it really is good value. I tested a Kogan MX11 which at the time costed about the same or more as the dreame v11, and that was the worst vacuum I’ve ever experienced. So am happy with the purchase!

I don't believe that is correct, but maybe some other ozbargainers can confirm.
I do have a V8 and it is fantastic. I would find it odd that a V7 has more suction than a V8.
Battery on V8 lasts longer as well.

          • @twisti: They reduced the power on V8 so that it can have more runtime and advertised it as a new upgraded product.

            • @Rakibul: Good to know. I enjoyed the v8 from v6 as it still has great suction, and the runtime is longer. Also I find the v8 is quieter and doesn’t scream at me like the v6 has. Once again can’t speak for the V7 but hopefully still helps.

            • @Rakibul: Sorry, just looked 115 AW on V8 vs 100 AW on V7. V8 has more suction and longer battery.

              • @twisti: Watch Vacuum wars review. I have already done my research and paid for V7 in Nov 2020.

upgraded from V6, I found this one is a lot QUIETER!

Suction power wise, well, it does the job better but I don't know if it's because V7 is 4 years younger than the dead V6 it replaces.

V6 accessories are NOT compatible with V7 and there's no way you can modify them to make them compatible.
