Best cheap tablet under $150?

I'm looking to buy a cheap tablet, for around $100-150 (lower the better). I'm not expecting anything flash for this price. I'd like to be able to watch movies on it and use wifi for some upcoming travel. That's pretty much all.

Would like at least 7" screen size, and a cheap Chinese import would be fine.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

    • Good find. I was looking for the Elf version myself.

  • Anybody had any experience buying from chinagrabber? New to me.

I bought a dildo from them. Took about 3 weeks to arrive

I hope that was not an urgent order! 3 weeks thats quite a wait

      • ahahahaha lol

  • I thought I saw a 7" on Big W online for $50 delivered yesterday, but can't find it now, may be sold out.

    • That tablet is just so unusable it's not worth buying it. Even the Ainol Tablets are usable and function pretty well, and the Elf is awesome. If you pay a bit extra for the Novo 7 Aurora, you get an IPS display which is on par with the iPad.

  • Thanks all for comments. I agree that big w one is unusable, the reviews are shocking. Will check out the novos.

I recommend you don't go for the 109.99$ Paladin tablet. It uses a MIPS processor which is incompatible with many apps. Would be better off going for the standard Novo tablet. Also the other option is the Dropad A8 - MASSIVE community on slatedroid.com so there's plenty of support and new roms available. Personally I own a RENA3 which if battery life is most important for you i'd go for, mine easily goes through 8 hours of moderate use and often outlasts my android phone's battery. It goes for about 165$ on Dealextreme.

    • Also forgot to add, before you buy any of these tablets - check online forums such as slatedroid for any community support incase anything goes wrong. Cause you can't really depend on some random chinese company going out of their way to help you. From my experience the seller rarely knows much either and will just advise you to search online forums for answers.

  • Have a look this one-

    • Ive been trying to get one for $150-$200 for about 3 months. It is pretty much impossible to find.

  • I am looking for one at a similar price.

Was going to go for this one:

    http://www.merimobiles.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ME…

But appears to be out of stock. Could anyone point me in the right direction to find one of similar ability or slightly better at around the same price with a link from the site for a keyboard leather cover.

    Thanks!!

  • Chinese Ainol Novo 7 series android tablets are very good choices.
