Are your energy rates 50c per kW?

        Doh, yah! $1 divided by 2kw equals fift…hold on…maybe I’m…A TOTAL ASS

      •

On some TOU plans, far greater than 50c per kWh.

      •

Average household electricity cost for Q1 2020 was 0.338c/kWh.

So more accurately $2 every 3 hours.

2 hours a night for say 150 nights a year would work out to $100/yr or $1000 over 10 years.

Compare to a reverse cycle air con/heat pump which delivers around 4.5x as much heat for the same energy as a resistance heater like this and you would get the same heating over a 10 year period for around $200-$250 instead.

Had an old model of the same thing. 2kw. It was pretty crap. But for $90 delivered it's reasonable.

I'd have to see these in person, but my pick would be the fin oil heaters at Kmart if you wanted a no nonsense quiet heater

I have aldi version 1.8 kw. Cost aside, it's ok for a small room / bedroom. I suspect this one won't be much better…

    Product Dimensions W 28 x D 58 x L 73 cm

That looks quite small to me. Would love to have a bigger one in the family area just for the effect.

It's actually quite big, length is the height
