    looks like they gone !!

    Ozbargained

  • "Temporarily unavailable online"

    • Temporarily…so maybe it will come back?

      • Unlikely before coupon expires.

  • This is a great price! But I need an a6600 or an a7riv to use AF with my old screw drive a mount lenses (with la-ea5)! I guess my upgrade is waiting a bit longer!

  • Damn too late. Do JB ever repeat offers like this?

  • This or the Fujifilm XT-4?

Fuljifilm is slighly more expensive (around $2500 with a 16-80mm).

    • +1

I have the XT-3 and it's amazing for my use case (4k video 60fps).

  • +2

    Is this good for Video?

    • +2

i mean its full frame, however no 10bit, no hevc. So its a no from me

  • I don't really like the idea of the a7C and the compromises which were made to save a bit of size. However, this is a lot of camera for the money.
Get rid of the lens, though, this camera deserves better.

    • +2

Some people like the idea of a compact full frame for travelling. Like they say, "the best camera is the one you carry with you", and this is light/small enough to encourage people to throw in their jacket pocket/hand bag. The kit lens has been favourably reviewed, it definitely has limitations but is better than the reviewers expected. This ready to go package at this price is great.

  • Camera experts:
    This or the Canon RP?

    • +1

This if you want quality 4k video. Probably similar in taking photos. But always consider the cost of entering the system not just the body. A full frame setup really requires $3000-6000 to get the most out of it

    • +1

In term of image quality and low light photography, the Sony A7C.
      User friendliness, Canon RP.

  • +2

    Didn't stand a chance

omg,,, I've missed this deal which I've been waiting for :(

probably keep my A6300 for a few months,,, until the next deal!

  • is this a good deal, I got the a7 III for $1800 body only last year… the c is not as good i heard

    • +3

It's funny too. Because when that deal happened everyone said to wait for the A7C. Now with this deal it's wait for the A7IV..

    • it isn't and has the old sony camera system not the a7iii system.

Only thing is, its got going is it can record video longer then 30min without over heating

  • +1

Cheaper than Iphone Pro max, Nice find OP.
This code+ CashBack +GC's/Amex will make the price so good. If anyone going to NZ they can even get the 10% TRS.

  • Most of JB instant deals no one cares for but this one was Ozbargain'd! Pent up demand for camera deals? I thought everyone uses their phone now? :)

I managed to get one from the store which does not have one in stock. The staff just made an order request from Sony directly to secure it. It’ll take one week to get the camera. It’s a very capable camera for this price.

    • isnt the coupon online only?

      • Yeh wondering this too

      • It works in store.

        • Keen to try this

          • @stickymoo: Thank you for the heads up. Managed to get one sent across from Qld to WA and just paid for it using discounted gift cards for $2004. Ends up being 1804 after cash back. It was a display unit and said the risk of ordering a new one was order cancellation.

Guy was awesome and tried 3 stores which were showing in-stock in the country and ended up getting one from the 3rd try. Rest all out of stock

            • @EnergicAU: Not sure if display unit qualifies for CB… Hard enough to get CB buying brand new directly from the Sony store online, from my experience. Update us though. Keen to know.

              • @Buy2Much: They don't sell as display and charged same a new rrp

    • Hi, the staff also made an order request from sony for me, but she said it would be take up to 8 weeks. So your staff told u it would be just one week? THANKS.

  • +4

likely never see it this low again.

  • Dam missed out
I wanted this due to the size and articulating screen
I got an a7iii but wanted a second full frame body
    Oh well

I'm telling myself that I'm glad that I didn't see this deal until it was too late…

    • 😂

    • +4

yep saw this when it first posted, but i don't think i need another new camera, because buying this means i am likely to buy more lens, lens filter, bags, cover whatsoever accessories, so i am glad it's gone, lol

      • Good point!

  • +2

Got a phone call saying no stock, and refund processed

    • Did you buy it online?

      • +1

        Yes.

        • +1

          Damn, that's rough!

    • Did you do click and collect?

  • Anyone got one from store?

  • +2

Ordered online + click n collect this morning. Just now, got a call from my local JB (Greenhills) stating they are out of stock and won’t be able to grant my order. Disappointed but whatever JB.

    • Wow that's rough if you bought online and it gets cancelled

      • +1

life is always rough, my friend.

  • Hi, if any one wondering I just picked up my Sony A7c sometime ago from Parramatta Jbhifi sore.

    • As a new sale or click and collect from this morning?

      • Click and collect from this morning for 2100. I bought as soon as I received email from Jb with promo code.

  • +1

No stock in any store which is strange for a recently released model. I’m sure stock will magically appear once the day ends…

  • Purchased at 9:30am, received a call at 10am saying that Miranda JBHIFI only had a demonstration model if i wanted that then i could pickup straight away or the other option for me was that they would have one ordered in and i would be able to pick it up on Monday at the latest.

I let them order one in for me and will pick up next week.

  • so tldr is if you dont have any camera or much worse camera, this is a good deal.
if you already have a7iii , this is probably not good for you.

    • +2

      Not exactly.

For future reference now that the deal is out of stock:

The biggest plus of the A7III compared to the A7C is the EVF and increased number of controls and dial placement. You can get used to the change in dials, but the EVF on the A7III is much more comfortable.

But the smaller body, lack of recording limit, real-time AF and articulating screen are a godsend, especially if you shoot video or want a more portable full-frame. Not to mention, the A7C looks much less conspicuous due to the lack of EVF hump.

Day-to-day, it is phenomenal how much more I am using the A7C than the A7III (or my previous A7's).

  • +2

Bought one and was reading more and found out a new addition to the a7c is gyro stabilisation which means less need to use a gimbal for videos.

  • Has anyone had their order posted out yet? Mine still says processing (yet it is "confirmed"). Hope they don't decide to cancel the order.

    • Just received mine

      • Yeah me too - today

  • Had it for a few days from in-store pickup and for the 20mm 1.8 for it
