  • What is out of market games?

  • @ USD64.99, there are still way too many restrictions. Even in the US, you need a VPN to watch your own home games, else you must wait 90 minutes after the game has ended (if you purchase the full all game subscription). You can buy a subscription for your own team with it's own set of restrictions.

I was trying to get links that would explain these terminologies and restrictions but my browser has gone berserk on the MLB.tv website even with my ad blocker switched off.

They have also redesigned the MLB.tv app for Android TV and that is almost unusable. Poor design, with various functions not accessible. Very 'hit and miss' to get the Free Game of the Day with Android TV and has put me off paying for a subs this year.

I tried earlier in the year to get subscription rates etc before the season opened and couldn't get human contact to answer my queries, instead had web-bots "answering" my messages with web-links back to their faqs that DIDN'T answer my queries. After about half a dozen attempts to get information (and failed) I just gave up… I could see that I was stuck in an infinity loop with the only human activity being me.

Usually the subscription rates start to reduce on and from their Memorial Day weekend, then Fathers' Day w/end etc. I usually find the Trading Period is a good time to buy a subs, however COVID-19 pandemic has probably changed all that.

    • Yeah I have had a mixed experience. The internal MLB app you install on Android TV is busted and has "no feeds available" or something to that effect when I try to watch a game, but casting it from the iPhone app to the Android TV has worked great for all the Mets games I've tried to watch (home or away have all been live) - no restrictions thus far. Mobile and laptop also fine. Shame about the Mets though. Don't regret the purchase at all for some Gary, Keith and Ron action.
